The label says to read warning. What is the warning ?

Never put in a microwave Although cold water from an Otiem bottle tastes great, this product is not intended to carry hot water. Carrying hot water in this product may cause severe burns. Do not fill with hot water. WARNING: Hand wash only. Never put in a dishwasher. Always Wash Before First Use: Your bottle is 100% Natural Copper: Bottle looks dirty? Don't worry it's not! This product is made of 100% pure copper which means the natural process of oxidation may result in dark patterns on the interior of the bottle when left idle for periods of time. This is natural and completely normal. These are not stains or dirt, we promise your bottle has never been used, and you will be the first to drink from it! Interior: 1) Fill the bottle with water and add 3tbsp of lemon juice or white vinegar. 2) Let sit overnight. 3) In the morning, add some baking soda to neutralize the acid followed by a wash with regular dish soap. 4) Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Exterior: 1) After the interior is clean, take dishwashing soap and a soft sponge or dish cloth and gently wipe the exterior. 2) Rinse with cold water. 3) Immediately dry the bottle with a soft cloth. Be careful, leaving the bottle wet for too long may result in faster oxidation and dark patterns.

I may have over looked this but is the inside coated with a lacquer?

No. We would never risk having any toxins going into your drinking water so our bottles are completely pure and contain absolutely no toxic materials. Some sellers do coat the interior with a lacquer on the inside, but since in our opinion there is no use shining the inside, we keep it pure and natural. You health is our #1 concern.
