At 43, I am at the age where I am starting to notice lots of small changes in my skin's appearance, seemingly creeping up overnight (fine lines here and there, changes in texture, getting dryer, discolouration etc). So, essentially, I wanted a scrub effective enough to deal with said changes/problem areas, but gentle enough to be used a few times a week. And I am so glad I've discovered this fantastic product! Firstly, it has no nasties such as chemical or mineral oils, sodium laureate sulphate, paraffin or silicone, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. In fact, the product line was created specifically for people who had severe adverse reactions to other skincare brands, so I am confident in the quality and choice of ingredients used. The scent is beautifully fresh and natural. It doesn't smell at all "chemically" or artificial, just very slightly floral (I think this may be the calendular oil they use). The exfoliating beads are not really beads at all, they are like teeny pockets of charcoal that gently open up and disperse over your skin's surface as you apply the facial scrub to damp skin. This is much better for the environment, as the multitude of plastic beads used in most scrubs is slowly but surely killing all our aquatic life and effing up the planet in a major way, so I am very happy not to be contributing to this now! I've only used the product twice, but was pretty impressed with how soft and smooth my skin felt after each use - for such a gentle face scrub, it's very effective. It doesn't feel harsh or 'scratchy' like many other scrubs do, and it rinses off easily with warm water. For the high quality of the ingredients and packaging, this is very reasonably priced at only £7.99. Usually there is a compromise to be made when it comes to quality and price, however this pricing bracket makes high quality skincare actually affordable for us lowly masses - thank you, Procoal! Oh, and if all that wasn't reason enough for you to try out this fantastic brand, all their packaging is 100% recyclable as well! I have never left a review on Amazon before (despite having been a customer since 2002), however after the company emailed me directly and explained a bit more about their brand, ethos and company values, I felt compelled to leave this review. We all need to support smaller independent businesses, and especially those who are going out of their way to support our planet and our immune systems, too. If I could give this product and Procoal London more than five stars, I would. A genuinely British product, formulated and made here in Blighty, I am so happy to have found this brand. Cannot recommend enough!

Ive been using this for a couple of weeks now, it's part of my daily beauty regime. It's just the right of abrasion. It leaves your skin looking radiant gives It a good scrub without making it sore. Definitely one of the better facial exfoliants. Ive ordered my second tube. I use it with a tiny bit of serum and my skin is looking great after years of neglect. It's not magic, but stick with it and ive noticed fine lines and wrinkles starting to soften. Also as its charcoal it doesn't leave a greasy residue like some facial scrubs.

Initial thoughts when dispensing a little in the the palm of my hand were of disappointment: I didn't expect a facial scrub to be so thin, watery. I found the exfoliating (natural) particles a little too fine for twice-weekly face-scrubs. I normally use a plant type sponge for my exfoliations but forgot to bring it in the shower, so I made do with just my fingers, using circular movements. I love the fragrance of the Calendula! It's reminiscent of my childhoods in the '70s when my nanny used to apply a calendula based after-sun lotion to our skin. So, that smell you're smelling isn't artificial at all for those who were wondering. I have a sensitive skin, being a natural blonde with 'Scottish' pale skin. I'd think those people who have had bad reactions may have an allergy to Calendula? So, proceed with caution if having sensitive skin. I do like this facial scrub but I prefer a coarser one for twice-weekly. It has left my skin soft and clean.

I’ve been using this for a couple of years now. I’ve used scrubs since I was a teenager, but this one is my favourite, it’s not too harsh, some are very abrasive and can make the skin a bit sore and red ( especially if you have sensitive skin like me) and some are too gentle and don’t really do anything. But this one is just right. Also the moisturising aspect of it is excellent, as is the scent, always makes my skin look and feel really healthy, refreshed, smooth and glowing. And it’s such a fantastic price, better than scrubs that cost twice as much, so I would def recommend it.

This is one of the great scrub that I ever have found. And I ordering the second one right away. Here is how much I love this product. And I am pleased to put it on my face everyday. 1. This product have a such an lovely smells. Makes me so relaxing in the morning and evening each time I using. 2. The scrubs itself makes my face so clean, after using it leave my face with the smooth , so soft and refreshing. 3. So worth the money. HOWEVER I would like it in the bigger tube. This is too small that is why I have to buy another one. ( this is just me the product is great ) I am so recommenced this to anyone that looking for a scrub that’s works. I have tried it , loved it and now is your turn :)

After using rhino skin armour scrub for years (the only thing that worked) it took a very long time to find a product that worked as good if not better! After a stress breakout (yes thats a thing lol) and other products put to use i gave this a try and the results in just 2 days were amazing. Now this isnt a cure for acne but it would work well i suppose, used twice a day day for a week would do wonders! its a small tube for the price but it is well worth it and i would recommend subscribing to it. As with other products ive tried they just seem to tighten the skin which gives the feel of it working, now this Procoal London actually exfoliates the skin leaving it smooth and clean. id also suggest after a week of twice a day usage, drop to every other day when the breakout is gone. All in all if you're familiar with the rhino skin armour this in my opinion eclipses it! Worth the money could do with being bigger, but still doesnt take the shine off it well worth 5 stars!! Update after speaking to the managing director about this product I am also happy to give the company and customer service 5 stars exceptional service, this product is very well received! Do buy!

Think the title says it all but heres a bit more. The product works quite well for me. I have oily skin and skin care as a guy is hard to follow so I've been trying out a few different products. This does a good scrub with small particles that don't disolve so the scrub is a medium abrasion feel. The little charcola beads do disolve as you can see in the image. Face feels a little softer and smoother after using this 2-3 times per week so I can't really complain about it's performance. On the other hand, I feel nearly £6 for a tiny 70ml tub is a little high, even with S&S savings. Going to continue trying more similar products until I find a cheaper but also good product but alternatively will just be back to this because it does appear to work.
