I'm very satisfied with this smoke detector. I had 8 in my house and all are faultless. Make sure to buy a decent 9 Volt Battery so you don't have to mess with it other than the routine testing.Pros:Easy Installation: The smoke detector was incredibly easy to install. It comes with a 9V battery, making it a true plug-and-play solution granted your existing pigtails are the same. If not, then just wire the connectors that came with it and you're good to go.Convenient Design: The front-load battery door is a great feature, allowing for quick and easy battery replacement without removing the detector from the ceiling. Great replacement
I replaced a 20yo smoke detector with this one. Other than having to cut the connector off and use the old one to fit into my system, it was pretty much plug and play. I've had no false alarms or battery problems since changing it out. Great deal!

i4618AC product in brown box = part number 21026063
The label on the actual alarm itself is i4618AC. Perhaps because it’s in a brown box it has a Kidde part # 21026063. Confusing. But install easy and worked ok. It’s a 3 prong of triangular desgn and push in fit with side clips just like 2013 vintage Firex i4618.

Big price increase
Very good. We installed it. Purchased same one in Oct 2024 and was $23.00. Price was increased by $10 to 33.00 in 6 months!
