Works great for a basic. flare tool. I used it to shorten the copper lines for a couple minisplits I installed on Rvs. It did the trick like a pro.

It appears to be well made and easy to use and, though , I've only used it a couple of times , it did the job no fuss ,no muss. Obviously I can't speak to it's durability ,but it's the kind of tool that doesn't wear out , and in my opinion , I expect it will be around for as long as copper pipe is used for plumbing.

This thing worked as advertised. Just make sure you have your line in straight.

I am not a plumber but I was replacing a section of copper line when putting in a new water heater. I’ve never done this before, but it seemed simple enough. The key seems to be to Take Your Time, this thing will make the flares Just Right, if you’re deliberate. Don’t know when I’ll need it again, but the price of it saved me from having to pay someone else. It’s well worth it.

I was looking for a new pipe flare tool. The ones at my local hardware store just did not seen very strong. I have purchased tools in the past from Amazon and was always very satisfied with the quality.This flare tool I received from Amazon is very heavy and strong, nothing like the ones at my local hardware store .If you are looking for some specific tool try Amazon, You will not be disappointed in the quality or the price. This “tool” is a waste of money. It is not designed correctly. You cannot loosen the clamp enough to fit the clamp onto the block with a flaring button in use. Totally useless paperweight labeled as “professional tool”. The only professional tool involved is the one who designed this and sent it to market.

Pipe isnt held firm in tool while you twist the flare tool. 5/8” and 1/4” tubing was used and it takes about 5 tries to get a flare started.
