The Grimm Conclusion: A Tale Dark & Grimm, Book 3

My daughter who hates to read loves this book. She tore threw it in a day and has already read it again. She also read parts of it to me. It was quite an entertaining book.

Great conclusion to the series. Well written and thought out. Love the messages that we are all story tellers in the end.

It's a suspenseful book, but fun to read with an older kiddo

Great book for kids. My son read the entire series in a week and is rereading them again. I'd recommend to any parent.

Absolutely LOVE these stories, and so does my 10 year old daughter and all her friends. I will say that these books are not for all children. My kids run away screaming from anything "princess" the other children might run away from mothers eating their children in a stew (yes, that's in the book!)I remember reading the original Grimm's Fairy tales when I was a girl. In comparing the watered down Disney versions to the original tales, the newer versions tend to lose many of the original lessons that are depicted in the original Grimm. This book brings them back them back in a humorous and engaging way. The whole series is a must read. But I caution parents to read them first! If your child is prone to nightmares, this may not be for them!

Huge fan of Gidwitz's reconstructed Grimm tales! I have four boys from ages 7 to 17 and they love it when I read these. The latest novel is a bit more graphic than the first two, but otherwise just as expected. I feel his writing style has evolved a bit with more seemingly careless, yet perfectly fluid interjections. This is the best series of books I've ever had the pleasure of narrating. Perfectly balanced between voice and story, it's a genuine pleasure to read an exciting chapter every night as the story unfolds in ways you wouldn't expect.

My son read this series and liked that it was dark comedy and liked the adventures. The narrator is hilarious.

My 8 year old daughter loves this series and this one definitely did not disappoint! Beware that it may not be suitable for all young readers though. I was a tiny bit hesitant initto allow her to read it due to its recommendation for a more mature reader. initially, but after checking out the first book from the library and finding my daughter iyunable to set it down, i knew we found her niche/genre. Problem is....series is so unique it's hard to find anything even similar.

I read them to my 6 and 8 year old kids.So, the books are a bit bloody and gory but like, in a fun way. The kids were always excited to listen to them every night after dinner. Sometimes they got so exciting (and gross) that the six year old ran out of the room but commanded that I continue reading while she listened from the hallway.

They are enjoying this series!

The third book takes a rather strange turn but does open up a lot of interesting discussions about the nature of reality - be prepared for lots of questions! Again, my twins loved it and were sad that there were no more!

My 10 year old can't wait to read these. She's half way through the first and can't wait to start reading the next 2
