Solved my ground loop hum
This won't work for everyone basically because there's as many causes of humming in the system as variables affecting the weather, but it did work for me!!! Having isolated every conceivable option, checking and swapping connections, moving equipment and wanting to take a sledgehammer to my system, I fathomed the only cause of the intolerable hum was a grounding problem on the pre out RCA of my valve pre amp (little dot mk 4). It was worse when using with my preferred power amp - the PS Audio S2000. On paper, this was an ideal sonic match of retro and modern, hybrid class a, valve and class d power output. I spend many hours reading every forum and review known to Google! I'm sure I could dismantle the little dot and work out a way to better ground the terminals inside the machine, seeing I'd have to learn electronics from YouTube, I figured buying one of these was a punt worth taking. 2 mins later, putting this inline between the preamplifier and the power amplifier and the hum is gone!! Problem solved, no soldering iron and learn on the job hifi electronics degree needed. It you have a grounding hum on a phono output, try this. At least with Amazon you've got a no quibble return and refund. I already own dynavox components, a staple switching box in my system, so knew it was a trusted quality brand. I recommend this 100%

It works but quality is lacking
1) The female RCA connectors on the unit are not properly supported by the chassis. When you press in the RCA cables, the connectors push back into the box. Nothing holding them apart from the solder points. These will snap-off if cables are plugged/unplugged regularly. 2) Bass frequencies are killed. Highs are accentuated. 3) Product document in German & French only.

This isolator works better than others that I've tried but the real solution is better shielded cables, preferably "three wire" balanced. That arrangement cancels out noise completely.
