Turkish Beef Sausage
The item came in five layers of protection, on time, at the right address. Its size is sufficient for 6-7 portions so I used it in (1) scrambled eggs with sharp cheddar cheese and garlic, (2) a meat substitute in Corned Beef Hash with diced onions and green bell pepper, (3) in a sandwich with aged Asiago cheese and caramelized onions on a rustic French sourdough baguette, (4) on a personal pan pizza as a substitute to pepperoni, (5) with 20/25 shrimp in a New Orleans style étouffée and (6) in tacos with grilled onions and cilantro and topped with a remoulade sauce. This said, I did not like that there was quite some fat, so I had to (1) slice it, (2) sear it on a Teflon pan for 1:35 minutes per side and then (3) sponge out the rendered fat, before using the meat in any recipe I would like. The unintended positive consequence of this process rendered the sausage slices like chips, and they were just as good as-is, for snacking. I am satisfied with the result.
