Exceptional value, perfect function… slight compromise on handling comfort.
I’ve given this product 5 stars on account of the exceptional value. Positives: 1. Steel quality seems good. 2. Machining of the blade holder channels function perfectly 3. Three to a pack - exceptional value Negatives: 1. These are not as comfortable to hold as Swann-Morton blade holders. The edges of the handle are a little sharp and the general finish is definitely budget. (That said, I dressed all three holders with a rotary abrasive tool and rounded them off in 5 minutes) If you only use a scalpel occasionally these are great value, if you’re using them a lot, the S-M brand product will feel much better in the hand after reasonable use. All told, I have no real criticism of these. Perfect for chucking in the toolbox.

Makes Me Feel Like a Surgeon, Even Though I’m Definitely Not
This scalpel handle is surprisingly good quality and fits the blades perfectly. Once it’s assembled, I instantly feel like I should be wearing gloves and saying dramatic things like “scalpel… clamp… coffee.” It’s solid, well-made and has that satisfying professional feel — the kind that makes you briefly consider a career in medicine until you remember you faint at paper cuts. The grip is comfortable and precise, and it works great for hobbies, airsoft teching, modelling or pretending you’re about to perform a life-saving operation on a gearbox. Blades snap on securely and don’t wobble, which is ideal because the last thing you want is a wobbly knife when you’re cutting tiny expensive parts or packaging you definitely didn’t need but bought anyway. For transparency: none of my stuff is gifted. I paid for everything myself, so this review is completely honest and unbiased. If you want a small tool that makes you feel way more qualified than you actually are, this is the one.

Very cost effective alternative to Swann Norton version
The handle is robust and includes a simple engraved ruler. The handle is reasonably balanced in use. My main gripe is that it is difficult to mount standard Swann Norton scapel blades - the fit is too tight such that I felt the blade would break given the force necessary - but it didn't. I'm not looking forward to changing that first blade!

Blades do not fit.
Bought 2. One was ok but other so badly made blade would not go on. Buy the more expensive ones.

It's cheap but good enough
It's mass production pressed out scalpel but it does the job an a good price so what more to like to be honest.

Prodotto in linea con le aspettative

De nr 11 blades passen niet goed op de handle. Een tang is nodig om met kracht de blade op zijn plek te krijgen. Heb toch maar een Swann Morton besteld. Die werkt feilloos.
