Good weight and quality. It's heavier than the striker that came with a board set bought separately. This allows for more options during game play, having two different strikers.

Defective striker with visible scratches
Striker was already had scratch. Not upto expected quality product.

overpriced for a beginner
I am a beginner to the carrom and deeply respect the game. But I am familiar with the laws of physics. This striker starts off well but on every try it literally puts the brakes on and stops in its tracks. compared to at least one other striker I have purchased from Amazon it is like night and day. the other is cheaper but I will not mention it here because that would be in bad taste. Leave it for the pros and go with the cheaper one made of cue ball

Slides poorly, cracked coating underneath.
Not a good product. Slides very poorly and appears defective. Some sort of surface coating applied to underside is cracked.
