I'm a makeup artist and salon owner and i use this great primer. It's creamy, pore filling, no scent, lasts all day. I have ice pick/ boxcar scars on my cheeks. Im always looking for something to cover/ fill them in for a smooth look under makeup. For the reasonable pricepoint, this is the best primer i've bought. Ive used high end pore fillers fom benefit, lancome, laura gellar, among others and drugstore from loreal, hard candy, every spackle ptrimer with a magical claim. This elf pore filling primer is hands down my fav. It doesnt get greasy or break me out, its non fragranced, lightweight, yet thick enough to fill in my craters. I'm on subscribe and save and I;ll continue to automatically repurchase.

Love this for minimizing pores and oily skin! It’s actually better than the more expensive primers on the market. No issues for sensitive, mature skin.

Works well but has a slight learning curve. The primer creates a smooth base and helps makeup last longer, though you need to use a small amount or it can feel a bit heavy. Great value for the price and the oil-free formula is perfect for my skin type. The matte finish is exactly what I was looking for.

Leaving these type of reviews, it’s best to give you an idea on my age and skin texture. I am a 45 years old female with combination skin. I don’t have any wrinkles for my age but I do have textured skin which shows up more when using the wrong makeup.I heard so much great reviews about Elf and I do have some of their other makeup products which I’m really satisfied with. This primer is packed in a pod with a pretty good reasonable amount of product. It’s like a thick cream kinda reminds me of coconut oil (when not melted). I scoop with a small spatula. I prefer a tool and not using my nails or finger due to contamination concerns. Anyway, I live in really hot dry desert where the climate sucks your skin and soul dry. An Instagram influencer raved about this primer so I thought Id give it a try. It goes on like thick chunky cream so you need just a small amount. It doesn’t leave a stickiness like other griper primer does. I pat and gently rub it on at the same time. Allow it to dry for at least a minute or more before applying foundation. I did my makeup as usual and set with setting spray. My face/makeup broke down within two-three hours at work. I was shiny and oily. The makeup area around my nasal fold separated. My face looks like a grease pan shining like as if I’ve been slaving in the hot kitchen all day. Half of my makeup was melted off. I wish I love oily skin but it makes me look unkept and icky feeling especially combined with make up on. Just NO. I am highly disappointed I was hoping it would give me a couple more hours. I really wanted to love this primer and make it work for me because of the price. I honestly feel this will work for those with NORMAL skin type. For those who have combination -oily skin will not work for them, you would need the sticky griping primer. This goes on smooth , didn’t grab anything for my skin type. Might even work for the dry skin people too. I don’t know but I know it’s not for me.

Excellent product, thin foundation color and creamy texture covers discolorations without looking like makeup. I use the e.l.f. mineral primer first, then this as a foundation. Doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup at all. Color is perfect for my aging skin with larger pores and some sagging; blends into pores and creases and looks natural. And it does last all day, no need for powder or face makeup, just a mineral primer and this primer, and ready to go ~

This is one of the best primer I have tried. It is excellent. I got it for the first time more than 5 years ago and its the one I always buy since then Highly recommend.

OK not to sound too cliché but I don't write reviews like ever. OK now that's out of the way let's run it down. This stuff is a miracle. I heard about it, saw it, read reviews and hesitated I'll admit. I was like putty....blech...I have mixed skin which if you know you know. It's where your skin is dry in patches but then has the Exon oil run off flowing free in others. So yeah you need that moisturizer, but guess what buddy you're welcoming the pimple band to play all day in return. Oh your skin is oily, well that made for oily skin product is gonna get cakey in an hour and you're gonna have dry cracked scales like a serpent succubus. It's a hard thing to balance out and the thought of something thick laying on my face before I put on makeup was a full stop "oh hell no" moment. However one of my friends swears by it and she always looks like she woke up with a damn snap chat filter stapled to her face so I figured what the hey its a cheap price and I've definitely spent way more trying to figure out how to work this face why not give it a whirl. WELL LET ME TELL YOU GOOD PEEPS. This stuff is amaze balls. It comes in a tub and looks thick or pasty but looks are deceiving in this tiny tub of angel kisses. When you touch it turns into a smooth and light texture almost like a gel lotion but it's not. It goes on so smooth and you don't need alot but has a consistency that allows you to layer/build as needed. I actually saw my pores disappear and my texture was velvety without feeling oily and/or sticky which I've found some primers made for mixed skin do. The color in the tub is a slight rose color but on your skin doesn't leave a tinted pigment BUT DID even out some of my redness or discoloration caused by past acne ( the pimple band likes to leave its marks my friends). My foundation went on smoothly and I found I need to dab less to blend with the trusty blending egg then without this tub of magic. My makeup stayed on longer than all day in perfect condition. No lie. I work in a medical setting AND then bartend at night and apart from my dead inside eyes when I looked in the mirror my makeup was damn flawless. Trust me when I say to you just get the dang thing. For this price and the amount you get it's well worth it.

Ich habe mein Makeup gewechselt und wollte nun auch mal mit Primern arbeiten. Habe diverse bestellt und ausprobiert und dieser Primer hat bei mir am besten funktioniert. Ich bin nicht mehr ganz jung und habe entsprechend Fältchen und auch deutliche Poren. Außerdem fahre ich mit dem Rad zur Arbeit, was sich auch auf die Haltbarkeit des Makeups auswirkt. Wie gesagt, dieser Primer war teureren Produkten wirklich merkbar überlegen. Das Makeup hält prima auch wenn ich leicht schwitze. Die Poren verschwimmen deutlich, besonders wenn ich das Makeup mit einem feuchten Schwämmchen verteile. Bin absolut zufrieden und bleibe dabei!
