Best pans I have ever owned
These are the best pans I have ever owned. They heat up quickly, and I am able to run my burners on a much lower setting than my old non-stick pans. I have experience with non-stick, cast iron, and cast aluminum. So far these beat them all. I have browned breakfast sausage that turned out beautiful and made omelets two mornings in a row in the frying pan. I followed stainless cookware directions and let the pans preheat before adding butter. Let the butter cook just enough to stop bubbling and I had zero issues with sticking. The omelet folded easy and slid right out of the pan onto the plate when done. I have used the sauté pan to brown hamburger for tostadas. I have not had hamburger brown this well or so quickly before. The glass lids work great. Unlike others I have used that I wasn't really able to see through while cooking. The lid on the sauté pan allowed me to watch the hamburger cook without having to remove the lid to check on it. I used the same preheat procedure before adding oil when cooking the meat, but I used Safflower oil for it's higher smoke point. The pans clean up really easily under normal use. My first attempt to use them I made the mistake of using my IR thermometer to try to monitor the pans preheat temp. I learned the hard way that IR doesn't read accurately on stainless steel. When it read 350 degrees I added safflower oil and it immediately smoked like crazy and burned to the pan. Thankfully the pan is still in good shape, I had to use 000 steel wool and bar keepers friend, but the pan is back to looking just like it did out of the box. I love these pans and I would highly recommend them.

Impressive Pans - worth buying
Top notch stainless steel pans. The smallest pan can fit two fried eggs simultaneously. Spread a bit of butter first and they never stick. The largest pan (I tried to show size with the spatula) can cook 4-5 pork chops or pancakes together. Scrub with steel wool and everything comes off, every time. Meat won’t stick if you let the pans heat up first, and a bit of oil helps too. It’s been several months of use, and I do not expect to ever need to replace these.

Research and learn how to use stainless steel cookware.
When I visited my daughter, I saw that she had purchased a set of this cookware. After cooking and cleaning with it, I fell in love with the set. She has had hers for ten years. When it was time to purchase new pots and pans, I chose to get Calphalon. I have had my new set of Calphalon Premier cookware set for three weeks and I am more than pleased with this brand of cookware. The food tastes great because the material used to construct these pans allows the food to cook evenly. I did quite a bit of research on cooking with stainless steel cookware and it is true that one must know how to cook with stainless steel. So, it is important to understand that you must allow the pan to heat up before placing food in the pan. You must also to remember to never place cold food in a cold pan, which is why you must heat the pan prior to food entry. Also, do not cook on "high" or "highest" temperature. As to food sticking, I have not had a problem and I have cooked eggs following the directions. If any of the food appears like it will stick, turn the heat down. Any food that seems like it is going to stick, I simply soak the pan for 30 minutes and the food comes right off. Also, I use a soft sponge if any residue is present. I use Bartender's Friend or a dash of white vinegar and spray of soda and the surface looks like new!. Remember that stainless steel tends to get hotter has you cook, so when the temperature gets to medium, I turn the temperature down. With these pots and pans, MEDIUM is as high as you should use. I am enjoying my time at the stove because the quality of the taste of the food is so good! Overall, the set is outstanding! I wanted the three-ply level because I have an induction stove-top. I have to also remember to not to rush the cooking of the food and enjoy the result...great taste!

A little disappointed
Overall the quality of this set seems pretty great. The heat distribution is great, the entire pan gets hot, versus my old non-stick pans that had hot and cold spots. As long as you follow the "rules" with stainless steel - heat the pan until hot, then add oil and coat the surface - nothing sticks and they clean up very easily. However, I am really disappointed that one of the lids in the set came with rust under the handle. For a more expensive set I would expect better quality, especially considering I've never had any rusting in my pans, even the cheapest sets. So I'm knocking a star off for that. They are also very heavy pans so that may be an issue for some, I find that it can be a struggle to hold the larger pans in one hand as I pour food out of it.

Great Product
Have had plenty of Calphalon pots and pans in the past just decided to upgrade to the stainless steel ones. Works great just a learning curve changing from regular non-stick to stainless steel. Other than that the wife loves them and so do I.

Sharp edges
Good size and look nice but Very sharp edges on the shaft right past the handles. Cut my finger the first time I used the spatula when my finger slipped off the handle. Every single piece has the same issue. I will be returning.

As advertised
As advertised. Wish I could get eggs to be a little less sticky though. Quality seems decent.

I recently purchased this cookware, attracted by its heavy-duty build and promising quality. Initial impressions were positive, as they seemed robust and well-made. However, I've encountered a significant issue as I started using them. Frying stains are persistently left on the base after cooking, and they don't come off even after thorough washing. It's disappointing because I expected these pans to meet high standards in both performance and maintenance. While they might cook well, the difficulty in cleaning adds unwanted inconvenience to my experience. I would recommend considering a different option if ease of cleaning is a priority for you.

Great value. Would recommend. Make sure you cook on lower temp settings. I still keep a good nonstick for eggs but these are great, way better temperature control than aluminum and cast iron. Learn about stainless steel before buying and season pans before use
