AquaTeak Scratch & Dent 15.5" Kai Corner Teak Shower Bench with Shelf

Love the quality, durability, and SIZE! I emphasize the size aspect due to all others on the market that are similar in design (three legs, goes in corner, is teak, etc...), they are not as tall, and not as Deep in the seat. Also, I've purchased others in the past and they are most of the time too dark in their staining, so they don't look as nice as this one does. This is VERY spot-on regarding the look you want out of a stained teak (think yacht decking).Only Con is that I would MUCH MUCH like to see this company AquaTeak do a pattern that doesn't look like a sunburst pattern. The sunburst is too traditional for most bathroom designs of the 21st century. I have friends who are clueless about design and they've too commented on how it looks Asian or traditional, yet the bathroom is modern. There are competitors who do the right design that I would prefer to own, but their material is either too dark or too short and small in the seat. So for now, AquaTeak continues to be the best solution on the market :)

Nice bench. Very sturdy. I bought it as scratch and dent. Mine did have a very noticeable rub in the stain right on the seat and it had a good size scratch on one of the legs. I think it should have been discounted more but I didnt want to hassle sending it back. I took pics but for some reason it wont let me upload them. If you are a picky person, pay the extra. If not, order this. I am a older lady with some skill and found it easy to put together. Took about 10-15 minutes. Hint: attach one leg to seat and shelf first, then do the rest. It comes with the wrench for the nuts, so dont pay the extra to have it assembled. Overall: I'm happy with it.Update: After using it a few weeks and it getting wet, some of the stain has washed off creating more light spots. It doesnt affect the use but it doesn't look good. If you buy the scratch and dent, stick it under the shower and see if stain comes off before you put it together. If it does, I would call the manufacturer. I now have 4 defects on mine. I believe it says no more that 2 or 3 defects. I think some of the places were touched up with stain before selling. I feel a little dupted.

Save your $$ and buy the scratch & dent teak corner stool. Saved at least $40.00 with no visible flaws. Adjustable feet were a plus since our remodeled shower floor is slightly sloped. Delivered several days earlier than expected and took about 15 mins to assemble!!!

Nice, heavy-duty teak shower stool/shelf; ordered the scratch and dent version to save ~$30+... glad i did, as I can't find any problems with it, and it's to sit in the shower anyway. Easy to put together, though I used my own nut driver to make it faster than the tiny wrench that was included. I liked that extra screws and nuts were included, just in case. Seems to be doing a good job so far.

The middle support leg needs to be a little longer. In a shower the floor is sloped to the center and makes it tipsy. I put an additional cushion under it to make it stable in the shower

Upon receiving the bench I checked out the pieces and could find no flaws. It looked perfect except for needing a couple coats of Teak Oil which I had also ordered from Amazon. Assembly takes a minute to figure out the legs but not long and if you've put other furniture together this was easy. The rubber balancing stoppers on each leg was a must for the walk in shower with a drain...they leveled the bench nicely and it seems very sturdy. Hopefully the teak holds up to the water which I think it will with an occasional rubbing in of the teak oil. I am very happy with this purchase.

Love this shower bench. Looks great and fits perfectly in the corner of the shower, high quality materials. Could not find the imperfection. The adjustable feet worked perfectly so the bench is stable on the tile floor. Would buy this again. Highly recommend this.
