My first chalk line that had a gear system and I’ve been using it and letting it bounce around in my tool bag almost 2 years with not problems or complaints.

One of the best chalk lines I've owned. Very durable and I've had it for quite a while with zero problems.

Good box line is strong but probably middle of road line wise box itself is great. Chalk load door is perfect sized and placed. Handle is nice size of box is great but my hands are xl caution if line wears through dont wind intakes a bit to resting if it gets pulled inside. I like color because you can find it and no one else has it.

Im a framer and the Kevlar reel it’s very durable. Only downside is side is the hear tend to wear out after a couple months of use. Other than that great product!

My old chalk reel was tired and I was way past replacing the line again. The OX delivers pro level results but more than that it is designed to do the hard yards and it shows. The aluminum case is a bit of overkill for home but I this will be the last chalk reel I ever buy. Couple that with the KEVLAR line and I don't expect to ever need to replace the line either. WINNING!! Plus, the 6:1 gear ratio means I can reel in the line faster and get on with what I really need to accomplish for the day once my layout is done. Thanks OX for thinking of these great features and combining them in the same product.

I have been using this product for the last 4 months. And, I would say that I have been enjoying using this chalk line. I actually prefer using it over the much more expensive Tajima lines. This is a tool I use daily for work, and so far it's been great. However, 4 months into using this product and the gears are already getting messed up. So if you do lots of outside work in different weather conditions like me. I do not recommend this chalk line. But if you do lots of DIY or you do lots of inside work or even if you live in a dryer area (not much snow, small amounts of rain seemed not bad) get this chalk line. you will love it

So I'll be perfectly honest I did not buy this to make straight lines... I bought it so I could tie a jingle bell mouse to the end of it, let out a bunch of line, and then reel it in super fast from one end of the house for my cat to chase. He loves it! It goes super fast and super smooth. No problems at all. Great value against other chalk lines. But again I admit I've never actually put any chalk in it

When I started using this chalk line, it worked really nice. Very smooth. It doesn't quite stay like that though but still ok to work with even after a couple of months of using it. Two things I don't like too much about it are: The line itself looks like it's twisted so when you chalk a line with it, there's not a consistent line. It rather gets slightly wider and again narrower continually. It stops somewhat after using it a while and the line starts to wear but it's still a little bit annoying. The second thing is the handle. If you'd compare this to the Milwaukee chalk line, then you'll find the handle of this chalk line to be at the 6 o'clock position when it's in the correct place while the Milwaukee chalk is at the 12 o'clock position. That may not be too concerning but the fact with this chalk line is that when you try to chalk line and you're just about to tension it, then the handle comes loose and at that point you'd have to find another way to hold the lime firm and tension for chalking. I didn't have that on a Milwaukee chalkline. If it wouldn't be for this, then it choose this product over Milwaukee chalk line at any given time.
