Comfortable plugs that offer significant noise reduction.
Very easy to use and very effective at reducing noise.I use them specifically for when riding motorcycles. The wind noise inside my helmet becomes a problem if I ride for anymore than about half an hour. So I have sveral pairs of these tucked inside my various riding jackets so I always have a pair handy. They are supposed to be single use, but I have no problem getting two or three wearings out of each pair.I chose these because they have the highest level,of noise reduction while still being easy and convenient to use. I figure if you're going to use ear plugs you may as well get the noise reduction possible. They are very comfortable compared to generic cylinder style plugs I have used. No trouble wearing these for hours at a time. The flared bases do make it much easier to remove. I've use other ear plugs that have a simple cylinder shape and they can sometimes be problematic because if you insert them even the slightest bit too far they become very difficult to remove. The flared base helps by giving you a guage as to how far you should insert them and gives you more surface to grip when removing. The only thing I don't care for is the obnoxious colors. I know why they make them this way but it would be nice to have an option for a color that is more subtle. Not a big deal as I usually remove them as soon as I remove my helmet, so it isn't a reason not to recommend these.

Magical for Motorcyclists
Downright magical; I cannot believe I road for years without them! One of the endurance challenges on a motorcycle is wind noise. Even with a full face helmet, it can be exhausting, or damaging to your hearing. Eliminates whistling, blasts, and chill. Foam is soft and comfortable, and expands to fill the entire ear canal even if inserted lazily. The did not fit my wife's small ear canal, so look for a different size if you also have tiny ear tubes. Buy in bulk, but try the 20 pack if you're skeptical. Good for single use, or a few repeated wears. A friend of mine said he washes his in the washing machine and they are like new, but not worth the effort I think. Lastly, you can still hear the engine of a motorcycle, and the road noise (though much quieter). Horns are audible, as are passing cars. Kills the wind. Extends your riding range.

I'll search high and low for these earplugs
I've been using these earplugs for years and I am frustrated whenever I have to use another brand if I forget to pack a pair on a trip. We all have different reasons for using earplugs but for me I use them for sleeping. For sleeping they are by far the best earplugs I have used because of how comfortable they are. They don't fall out of my ears, I hardly notice they are in there when wearing them, and they come out with a simple twisty motion when I'm done using them. Like other reviewers have said, after a couple uses they begin getting softer/harder to work with so make sure you have a few on hand.On a side note, my wife is very petite and has never been able to get earplugs to stay in her ears all night but these do! Little tip in case you didn't know is to pull on the top of your ear upwards when putting them in and then continue to hold your ear up and your other finger lightly putting pressure on the earplug. This way it will keep it from expanding out of your ear. Careful you don't insert it too far in though because it can be difficult to get out of you do that.

Leaves a pink stain in your ears.
Functionally speaking, as earplugs, I have no problem with this product. They fit my ears well and block out an adequate amount of noise. I did not experience any discomfort when using them. However, the next morning, a cotton swab from my ear came back pink. The next time I wore the same pair, I checked this again, and it happened again. So, clearly, these plugs are leaching some sort of pink dye into the ear canal, which is somewhat disconcerting. I'd love to assert that this is probably harmless, but I'm unqualified to make such an assertion. In retrospect, I would have preferred to have purchased an earplug that did *not* leave some sort of chemical dye behind in its wake. No other earplug I have tried has ever left a stain inside my ear canal. Thus, I do not recommend this particular earplug, unless pink ears is what you're going for.

Takes some practice but worth the effort....
I have a neighbor who enjoys playing her stereo loudly at night, with a booming bass. I decided to try earplugs. I bought these because previous buyers had given them good reviews. The package did not include insertion instructions, so I went to the Laser Lite website which has very clear instructions and even a video. It took some practicing to learn to insert them properly but, once mastered, these Laser Lite Foam Earplugs work great! No more pounding bass, and they are very comfortable. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Protect your inner ear when you insert and remove ear plugs (see company's video)
The cone shape and softer texture of the Howard Leight laser light ear plugs make them more effective than the bullet-shaped beige ear plugs I bought at the local drug store. Because the individual packages for these ear plugs do not include instructions, search “howard leight laser lite” on the Internet to find the Howard Leight | Laser Light Earplugs website and watch the video demonstration there. The one thing I would add to the video is to keep your mouth wide open during insertion and especially removal of the ear plug. As is true during air pressure changes during plane take-off and landing, your middle ear pressure has to equilibrate when you insert and remove ear plugs. The tiny Eustachian tube that connects your middle ear to the back of your throat allows you to equalize the pressure by yawning or “clicking” your ears to open up the tube. Thus you’ll be more comfortable and will protect your inner ear by keeping your mouth open and “clicking” during ear plug use.Avoid very prolonged use or reuse of this disposable plug because it could cause irritation or even infection of the thin, delicate skin of the ear canal. This company and others make reusable ear plugs that can be cleaned and reused safely.
