A Little Book of Manners for Boys: A Game Plan for Getting Along with Others

A wonderful book for boys of any age
Great book! I am reading it to my six year old son as part of our homeschooling curriculum. He is a good boy, but needs reminders. He is a great conversationalist and loves talking to anyone, but needs reminders on what is appropriate to say, and to make eye contact with people.I think I need to have my husband read it too, honestly. HA.

Open for discussion...manners begin with gental words in the making of gentalmen.
The day one of your son/s opens a door not only for you but for others...you have the early makings of a man, a gentleman. The boy walks up to you when you are shopping an takes your bags for you...you have the early makings of a man, a gentleman. The day that young man is grown up and is willing to give up his day off to escort you to the hospital for a six hour long infusion of medicine...sits there in conversation about things you'd always hoped to hear and reads quietly while you sleep...you've finally met the young boy who grew up to be the young man with a deep set understanding of what true caring and manners really are. It all starts at birth and grows from there. Books are another way to cover issues of what it takes to grow up with manners and becoming a true gentleman. Of course don't depend on only one book or one discussion...there must be many more over the course of time.

Wonderful little book!
Wonderful little book! I can't wait until my grandson gets just a little bit older for me to start reading it to him. Good guide for teaching boys nice manners.

Little Book of Manners
We ordered for out seven year old. The book is great! I tend to order used and new books but was not please when we ordered this one used. It is the first time that a book was basically falling apart, I did not return it as it did not come directly from Amazon but we have been working with it and still get the message across to our little one. It's colorful and has a lot of reminders to what we are already teaching our kids and some additions.

Highly recommended
Absolutely wonderful book, just what I was looking for. It was on the recommended reading list of a Christian mothering book I recently read. My son is 8 and he was able to read the whole thing himself, and we also discussed it. Very age appropriate for an 8 year old, but I think would appeal to boys age 6-12. It is very readable and covers a broad range of topics. Very glad I purchased this book.

manners for boys, if they sit long enough to read it.
A Little Book of Manners for Boys: A Game Plan for Getting Along with OthersI don't know it just didn't appeal to me, That doesn't mean the book is no good. It just doesn't suit my needs. My 5 yr old son has behavior problems. I wanted a book that put things in a more interesting way. Here is too many words and concepts, which is probably good for older kids. But with a 5 year old with ADHD I need succinct. I'll save this and see how it plays when he gets older.

SOS for Young Gentlemen in training!
Proper manners on children in general can be a hardship but so necessary. Boys in general are a whole different story. They are rough and tough and good manners are just not in the picture! Which is why this book fits the bill. It's never to young to learn or old for that matter. Hopefully they will learn and make their parents proud. It's not easy but it's worth it!

mannerly boys
This book has been very helpful in reminding my eight year old grandson to be considerate, responsible, and mindful of the effect his behavior has on the world around him. We read it together and he also reads it on his own. The humor is appealing, and it is fun to read.
