XiaomiMi LED color bulb, WiFi (no HUB required), compatible with Google Home, Alexa and Apple HomeKit, E27, 10 W, 800 lm

...But do you really need it?I purchased this for a bit of fun. It great to use with Google home and the google app as well as the Xiaomi app. But 99% of time I switch it on at the lamp and it is displaying an off white colour for ambiance. So therefore it is a £19 bulb, which goes into D-I-S-C-O mode if you really, really want it too.Amazing, but just a novelty.

Getting a bright RGB LED bulb is not straight forward - I've been through a few. And the ones I've been happy with seem to fail around 6 months. So after reading reviews I decided to double my budget and try this Xiaomi mi bulb. And I'm very happy so far - a month in. It's very bright in both colour and white - the first RGB bulb I've had that holds its own as a white bulb too. The form factor seemed odd but installed it looks great. My only complaint is the 1% brightness is a little too bright - like 15% with cheaper bulbs.

Excellent duvet. My son's room has 2 walls that are both on the exterior of the house and so is difficult to heat. This product keeps him toasty

I thought the set-up was quite a chore and getting it to work with Google home, this could possibly be a reflection on me.Once the set-up is done then things get really cool, from choosing from one of the many colours and with the dimming function, you can set up quite cool programs for mood setting.My teenage boys think that it is fantastic.Looks like this could be an investment.

Good quality product and so far does what it is meant to. Control of brightness and color is quite easy with the app. It was simple to add it to the Google home app as well.

Extremely high quality, and best of all HomeKit compatible

We bought this bulb for the kitchen to use with Alexa, and it worked great. Unfortunately, this doesn't last as the bulb suddenly stopped working with the network, and meant it became just an led bulb, having lost all it's smart functions. I have spent ages trying to rectify the issue, and followed all the steps recommended by Xiaomi for when this happens, but the bulb resolutely refuges to connect to the network.Unfortunately I now have an expensive, bulky led bulb with no functionality beyond that of a regular bulb, and this only a few months after purchase.

I thought I would take a chance with these smart bulbs as I have had very good experiences with Xiaomi products in the past.The bulbs themselves are not bad. Not the brightest but the colours are good. The mobile app, however, is very poor indeed.On the plus side, if they update the app to include features that are common in almost every other smart light app. You will have a good setup, with little spend.I, however, will be going back to LiFX as they are (in my opinion) the best on the market in every way (except price).
