Great price and great quality
Perfect for what I wanted. If you are wanting the highest quality and picture it’s not for you. Works as advertised and works good

It's a good scope for hunting game...
If you are looking for "real" night vision you can stop reading in a few more words, this scope is not that. This "scope" is a digital camera. This camera needs some source of artificial light to work in low light or in the dark. That is why the pictures show it with a flash light attached to it and the flash light must be somewhat zeroed to the scopes field of view during setup. Please note the flashlight is infrared or IR for short which I won't try to explain other than to say it's not visible to human eyes and probably most animals. However, the IR light is very visible to anyone with "real" night vision or a camera that is sensitive to the IR spectrum. Now on to the scope...It's heavier than expected and pretty bulky. Battery life isn't great at about 4hrs with the 4AAs, but you can power it with a external power source for more run time. I'm not really a fan of the manual focus, but it is what it is. If you want to hunt when you otherwise could not this will scope will do exactly that, it has compromises as one might expect when you want to see in the dark for a relatively cheap price of admission. Real night vision scopes have their problems too, price of admission being one and why this scope probably even exist. Now on to actually using this scope. I don't expect any surprising problems and it feels solid, but it is a digital camera so who knows how durable it'll be over the long haul. Sighting in was pretty easy. I had read the instructions before heading to the range, but forgot to take them with me. Still I was able to do the one shot zero on the first attempt. That being said, once that is done you'll probably want to fine tune it. The user interface is simple enough and 20-30 minutes of use I was pretty comfortable with navigating the menus. Concluding, yeah it's not "real" night vision, if you don't know or realize that going in I don't know what to say other than you need to read what this product is before purchase. The fact is it works just as described by Sightmark. It will allow you to see / hunt in complete darkness out to a limited range. That's about all I can say at this time. Pros: cheap relative to "real" night vision, works Cons: weight, battery life, manual focus

Great for hog hunting
I ordered this scope a few months ago after feral hogs started destroying my property and so far it has performed very well. I use a thermal monocular to locate the pigs, then move in and take the shot with my bolt action 7.62x39. So far I've killed 3 large hogs with this set up. One at 25 yards, one at 70, and one at 80. At these distances using the IR light that came with this scope I'm having no problem seeing the hogs clearly and dropping them. (There is a video on YouTube about focusing this IR light properly and it does make a difference). I doubt I will ever shoot more than 100 yards and I would highly recommend the 2x version of this scope if you're going to be shooting less than that. The 2x makes target acquisition at close range much easier than the 4x and if you'll be shooting medium to large game inside 100 yards you probably won't even need to zoom in. As much as I like this scope there are a few things that you need to be aware of. Number 1: this scope feels very solid and well made, but as a result it's very heavy..I mean this thing is a brick. So you will want to put it on a very light weight rifle if you plan to do a lot of walking. Number 2: while the night vision is very crisp and clear the daytime setting is just "pretty good". It would never replace even a budget glass scope for daytime hunting. It's adequate and you won't have a problem hitting the target but it's just not as defined as looking through glass and it's noticeable. This is above all else a night hunting rig. Number 3: battery life. The scope itself will run for MAYBE 2 hours on 4 AA batteries and the IR light gets noticably weaker after 30-45 minutes of use so this is very much a turn on, shoot, and turn it back off affair. You don't want to use this unit to locate game..it's strictly for making the kill shot. And last of all, the rubber eye piece comes off easily and I lost mine the second time out. This doesn't make any difference as far as looking through the scope and many people take it off anyway. But if you want to leave it on I'd recommend using a ziptie to hold it secure. So at the end of the day you need to understand exactly what this scope is and what it isn't... It's not an amazingly clear daytime optic, and due to its weight and battery life, it's not good for locating game at night and you will definitely need another method for that like thermal, a spotlight, or a motion sensor feeder light. Once you've located the target..it's time to move in, turn this scope on, and shoot...and it works very well for this and you'll get many hunts out of the batteries this way. I would also like to say that the 1 shot zero worked surprisingly well (again there's a YouTube video to help) and the controls are very easy and user friendly. Once you get this scope set up, it's a very simple process to turn on, record, shoot, and turn off. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars since most of the cons I listed don't really make a difference if you're using this scope as intended but I would like to see a little more battery life and lighter weight and I'd call it perfect for my needs.

Got rats in my out-buildings. They're a pain. They eat a huge number of the eggs that my wife's chickens and ducks lay. Got an air rifle to try to thin them out, but the iron sights are a bit of a pain at my age. I wear vari-focal glasses and so if I tilt my head down so the rats are in focus, the sights are blurry. Tilt my head up and the sights are just fine, but the rat is all blurry <sigh>. Enter the Sightmark Wraith, a nifty TV sight with IR/daylight camera. The rear diopter ring can be focused onto the tiny TV screen so I don't need my glasses any more, and the front objective ring focuses the image coming into the camera. Winner. It was a bit of a trick getting an adapter to go from a dovetail rail to Picatinny, and none of the offerings from Amazon were any good at all, but that's a different story. It is quite a large scope, so aiming high/low/on target to cater for range to target took a little setting up with a field target at various positions in the chicken run. All sorted, now. There are many choices for reticle design, and a multitude of reticle colours to choose from. The menu is intuitive and zero-ing the sight was done in 5 shots (3 to get it zeroed, another 2 to be sure). It is water-resistant (not -proof) so a bit of drizzle does no harm. Battery life is a bit short (4 x AA last for about 3-4 hours). By day, the rats are quite savvy - they see the beardy-weirdy with the bang-stick and RUN. By night, however, they seem fascinated by the dim, purple IR torch that comes with the sight and just stare at it, even after the air rifle has been fired... BANG!... "George? You all right George? You having a little lie down, mate?"... BANG!... "OW! OK, I see why you're lying down, now... Got a thumping headache... Bye, George..." OK, so we shouldn't laugh, but egg thievery has dropped to an all-time low over the last month, so this sight is already paying off the investment. It doesn't have laser range-finding but, at this price-point, it would be unreasonable to expect it. Invest a little time getting it sighted in so you know how much to offset vertically depending on range to target and you don't need that function anyway. For a budget day/night IR TV scope, you won't be disappointed.

Everything worked as per advertised but without power it's all useless. I'm only getting 1 hr battery life, external power broke because of extended use.

I have only used it a few times but I am extremely happy so far (time will tell, I hope it lasts).

The only problem I encountered was that the eye relief was far too short for my rifle. The seller was very quick to respond and sorted it very quickly.

Rail mount not compatible with my bolt action rifle, would need some sort of adapter to make it work properly. Appears to be intended more for use on an AR type platform. Also the unit is extremely heavy. Description says 2 lbs, but seems like much more when holding up my rifle in firing position, way too big, bulky, cumbersome in my opinion. Range is quite disappointing, at least with the included IR Illuminator.
