COMPLETE CALVIN AND HOBBES BOX SET

I am a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan, and so happy with the complete box set. The package arrived in perfect condition - thanks to Amazon and the seller.

Sitting proudly on my shelf next to my box collection of Asterix hardcover and Tintin hardcover and ofcourse some more Calvin & Hobbes books.I love this box set. If you call yourself a Calvin and Hobbes fan then you got to get this. It's the holy grail of Calvin and Hobbes world.The books a legit, they are well bound, amazing print and paper quality and mind you, they are super heavy.I am so happy I got them.Expensive, but something that'll last me a life time and I am going to pass this collection onto my daughter. Everyone can use some Calvin and Hobbes wisdom.Oh..and finally..a shout out to the seller.. the books were imported and shipped all the way from UK, and they arrived via DHL, on time and in pristine condition.

Book:This is a complete collection of everything Calvin & Hobbes. By "complete" I mean, Everything. It contains all the comic strips, Sunday strips, all special art, poems, Acknowledgement and Introduction by Bill Watterson, Everything possible. It is SUPERB!!!If you need to refer to a review to understand what kind of a comic is C&H, you probably shouldn't consider buying this book.The book is quite heavy, and I wouldn't want it to be any lighter.The book is very beautiful, the print is great, all the printing is on appreciably thick art paper. The colours are vivid and dense.Packaging:The collection's slipcase is made of a thick paper material, which is very sturdy.The seller was Amazing Buy (Amazon fulfilled) when I bought it. A piece of advice, when buying it online, make sure the order will be fulfilled by the selling website. The book is quite an investment, and you wouldn't want yourself worrying about the delivery and packaging.Price: When I bought the book (6-Oct-2014), it's MRP was: Rs. 5999/-, I bought it for Rs. 2999/- at a 50% discount! Yay!!! :DOne thing that really disappointed me was that this book was printed in China, I mean seriously!? Why would you need to get anything printed in china? Aren't their products disappointing enough?Other than that, this is a must have collection!

My wife is a big fan and has most of the books ... but when I got this for her birthday, she was over the moon. it's a great collection and presentation

Much has been said about what Calvin and Hobbes. I'm a sucker for it too. I'll just comment on this printed collection by Andrews McMeel.I love the introduction by Bill Watterson. I have much respect and appreciation for him, and reading those few pages of personal notes on his life's work afforded me a sense of calm and satisfaction that no other form of written text has been able to in the recent history. Thanks to the publishers for all their efforts too.I purchased the paperback variant as a gift for my girlfriend, and I'm quite certain she'd cherish this collection for life. The packaging was adequate (seller: Cloudtail), but I do yearn for slightly thicker, a bit less glossy paper however.Watterson's work is truly exceptional and I think this volume does justice to it in bringing it to a book format. Recommended!

The outer packaging was damaged/ torn and the inner protective plastic sheet was also torn. So the item case/ cover had become a little damp. Fortunately the four books inside were in good condition, so no harm done. All in all, an excellent investment which ensures countless hours of mirth. Fantastic publication quality by Andrews McMeel, with all books exquisitely printed on book-grade art paper. Truly a collector's edition. Highly recommend this product, but I expected better packaging from Amazon!
