I love this tool. Very handy and works with our Dewalt batteries. Be careful - it is powerful and will cut through small stalks, ie. Russian Sage. It has been a boon to our yard work with arthritic fingers/hands.

I wanted something smaller and lightweight to trim bushes and plants around my home. This was perfect! Lots of power and boy does it cut through stems. I love it. My husband has all the batteries I need as he has all the Dewalt tools. We are in our 60’s and now that I’m retired, I want to help more with the outside trimming. This works great with lots,of,power and fits the Dewalt batteries.

Mainly used this trimmer on and off for 4 months on topiary work- Cuts well for light duty work. Use larger corded trimmer for heavier tasks- Weight OK for one handed operation- Easy to maneuver for topiary work- Switch easy to use and comfortable to stay on for extended time- Easy to change blades- Wrist saver compared to using manual trimmer- Some people reported about short battery life. That is not my experience. Use trimmer for more than 1/2 hour using a Dewalt 20v 5AH battery. Battery was still almost fully charged after more than 30 minutes operation.- Price is great for what it does

This thing started off working O.K., then just got worse and worse. Big mistake to buy this item off brand I guess. It won't hardly cut much, maybe some very young grass, not too thick though or it can't do it. Better off just using a manual large scissor type, or else a small hand pruner it appears, or else a REAL hedge trimmer of some sort, not this cheapo piece of dog crap, lol

I got the unit that includes the 11” blade. This feels robust in your hand, not cheap and flimsy at all. Blades are very sharp. Easily cuts shrubs and such without bogging down, destroys overgrown grass and small unwanted trees trying to grow in hidden places - anything about pinky thickness or less is eliminated. I’m quite happy with it and would recommend. Try a Dewalt 20/60 flexvolt max with it for real fun…only restrictions then are what fits between its blades at that point.

This was easy to use & worked well. Does NOT come with a battery so make sure you have the correct one at home. This works with the Dewalt battery. Great value for the money.

Needed something of this size to trim ornamental grass plants but just didn’t perform as I hoped it would. Struggled with getting battery to click in properly but after got that figured out just wouldn’t cut. Weight and comfort was not great either. Size would’ve been perfect if it had performed way I hoped. Ease of use i can’t say was easy. As far as the battery I already had was still at full charge after struggling to cut my ornamental grass plants…weather has not been great for months so unable to try , I would’ve returned but it was past my 30 day..

It is perfect for cutting back ornamental grasses. Great tool!
