Waste of money rubbish
Don’t waste money on this. Couldn’t catch a bug even if you put one into it.

Very small - helpfully discrete - 2 won’t cover wide area - not clear if you can get glue board refils. For detection only
Took longer to arrive and more expensive than some other beg bug detector products. But I do very much like how discrete it is. It is semi-tranparent white plastic like material with sticky board inside - which is nicer and much more useful than the description, which says it is black. There are black squares on the white sticky strip inside. This product extremely small, so won’t cover a large area. It is is for people who want to monitor whether they MAY have bed bugs in their home (perhaps because they think they may have been in contact with the bugs elsewhere). If you know you definitely have bed bugs in your house, you need a recognised professional contractor to advise and remove, unfortunately. Two problems: the instructions on the box say to insert the sticky board - in fact they are already inserted. You just need to remove the paper on one side, as instructed. This is very slightly tricky, but doable (and my dexterity isn’t greatbut i managed it without too much trouble. Second problem: where are the refill sticky boards? There are no extra sticky boards included with the product, and no instructions as to how long the sticky boards last. Also, so far, I can’t find refills on Amazon. Does the manufacturer make refills. If in fact there are no bed bugs in your house after all (phew!) maybe a refill not needed. I may buy some more of these, unless I can find a similar less expensive product. Unlike some other products, these are NOT designed to put under bed and chair legs. If a visitor to your jome sees these, they are less like to guess what they are for!. I understand that if a bed bug can’t bite a person or animal for 3 months the bug dies. But I have uncomplete knowledge! If they are in your house, they will find you - or if no humans to bite, they will bite animals. They are activated by carbon dioxide, given out by humans, animals and dry ice. Apart from the bites, bed bugs are not dangerous for health, except long term they could cause anemia possibly. Bites cause some people bad skin reactions, and others no reaction. They are very hard to get rid of, because they could be spread on your clothes to other places, invade any adjoining properties/ houses etc, bite your children and your pets and your guests. An infestation can only get worse if you leave it, and can cause extremely bad, itchy skin reactions in some people, plus much distress. The best way to dignose is to find in your bed in creases, using magnifying glass, or small spots on bed. Skin reaction alone can be hard to diagnose, as it could be something else such as scabies or an allergy to a new medicine etc etc. Google for advice re bed bugs. If I found they were in my house, I would be inclined to get a special bed bug matress protector, and perhaps a steel frame bed. This product I am using as a discrere possible early warning system. I live in southern England, not in a big city. Until a friend recently had trouble with bed bugs, I wasn’t aware that they are becoming a more widespread problem in the UK - and my friend had NOT been abroad recently and has NOT slept in a hotel or away from home at all for some years. So seems they are easy to pick up on your clothes.

Strong trap
Well designed and strong enough to withstand putting under mattress. I can't comment on how effective they are at catching bugs as we haven't caught any (phew - looks like we're all clear)
