For the money I don't think you can complain
Saw a few previous reviews that weren't that good but thought I would take the plunge anyway. I have seen comments about problems with the winding mechanism but take your time and it winds in easily. Definatly makes a huge difference when plugged into my Eton G3, in fact often the bands come alive with stations that are just not audiable at all with the telescopic ariel. Time will tell how robust it really is but it's in regular use now and if it eventually breaks at this price I would just buy another.

Kaito Radio Antenna -
This is untried at present. How can I write more words when I have not even tried it yet, just hope it improves reception for Eton radio I have.

Great antenna for world receiver
Used over the last 3 weeks in France and had excellent reception on the SW radio. Could not ask for more.

USELESS!!
Well...first I found this wasn't a very effective ariel booster. Then, the ariel got stuck whilst it was rewinding! Then snapped! I am disabled so was rewinding it slowly, making sure it was coiling in ok.It just suddenly wouldn't coil in, a friend looked at it also-it was stuck fast. Arrgh! This was the first time I had used it. Never again!! Disappointed as it had quite a few good reviews on Amazon (US) and it was cheap! Will buy a better one next time (unless I was unlucky!)

V fiddly to wind-up if indeed possible...
I bought this because it was cheaper than the competition and a bit longer. It is just a wind-up aerial, but the two finger hold are not deep enough and so it is difficult to wind quickly. Moreover, however many times I and different people try to wind it back into the case we can't. Defeats the object of a wind-up areal I would say.Next time I will buy the Roberts/Sangean etc one... or make one.
