I have been asked to buy some hard toffee - is this hard or soft?

Hi there Thornton's toffee is hard but soon breaks down when you pop it in your mouth to provide a smooth toffee taste. You may be interested to know that Thorntons got started in confectionery in the early 20thn century by making toffee in the basement of one of their shops. The rest is history, as they say.
