This product works!! I highly recommend on natural type 4 hair.I got this because I read the ingredients and it looked like it would be good. I also read up on the entire African Pride product line on youtube, so I figured to give it a try.First, the scent is good, not too strong. I used this to detangle my hair on wash day. Keep in mind, I have been sort of neglecting my hair for about a week, its dry, and in 4 sections of flat twitsts all over my head and I've been wearing headbands and small hair wraps, going to the gym and not moisturizing. So my hair was very dry and tangled. I used this on one section of flat twists in the back, and it has so much slip. I was impressed.I repeat, this has so much slip. Its not too heavy and oily, but you can feel the aloe and some oil. I made the mistake of putting some on my hair ahead of time, and that wasn't necessary. It sort of dried up. I would recommend on dry hair, spray hair a little with water to dampen, and use this on sections to detangle and work through small sections.In the past, I have used Sta-soft-fro in the spray bottle as a detangler and olive oil. I have also used the Hawaiian Silky Miralce Worker 14 in 1 Hair Moisturizer as my go to's to de-tangle my 4b/4c hair.Their conditioner - I was not impressed with. Left my hair feeling sort of brassy, not soft. Leave in cond was better. But this pre-poo is excellent.

I have only used this product maybe four times since receiving it and I saw results after the first time. After reading the directions, I saw that it said to leave in for thirty minutes if you have severely dry hair and my hair has been a mess since I live in an area with hard water.After using it the first time I was able to comb through my hair without there being knots and me having to yank my brush through them. The next few times I’ve used it I’ve noticed that I’ve haven’t been losing as much hair in the shower.The smell to this is amazing and glides onto the hair really well. I section my hair and then put it in each section. You really don’t have to use much either as a little goes a very long way. I then just put it up in a bun until it’s time to wash. Even after using other shampoos and conditioner it still smells like the pre-shampoo which is very lovely smell especially since the hard water has caused my hair to have a mildewy smell when I put it up.Also I’ve noticed my curls have slowly come back in the few washes that I’ve used this product and my hair has been flat quite some time since I’ve been living in this area. Wish I would’ve bought sooner!

My hair gets so matted it's painful and I lose so much hair, and I end up having to cut some of the tangles out. I have only used this once so far, but I am very excited because it already seems like it's going to be a huge help. I am so happy.

I have always struggled badly with taking down month old braids. I have low porosity type, so this with heat was the best. Made Detangling much better

I got this to use after my dog's bath. As a Cocker Spaniel, when wet, she has long, snarly hair. I use this heavy conditioner to enable me to comb her hair and not hurt her. Very nice. Great smell too.

I have very thin graying 4ccc hair. My hair tend. I to stay dry and shrink outrageously . I stumbled on this product at the Walgreens. Its been the best product for my hair ever and I am over fifty years old. I sleek in onto my hair strands and to about 3 passes on my hair and it gives my hair amazing curl pattern. I am not even kidding you. This is something I have wanted since forever. So glad I found it. That baobob oil in it does the trick. I promise you that you wont be dissappointed. I can only recommend this for 4c hair because thats all I have experienced. Also a little goes a long way. But you can pile it on because the more product the more curl pattern. Especially because of the price, its a real bargain. You will not be dissappointed I would show my hair but its now in braids. And to all who get braids, stop braiding your hair so tight to your scalp It only damages it.

My son is mixed with 3c hair and we've always had a hard time managing it because of his eczema. I spot tested a few products out of this line on his chin and we haven't had an issue so far. The slippery texture is perfect for brushing through his hair and leaves his curls looking so moisturized! I usually follow up with the Gel N' Cream from the same line and get great results. His hair looks so good and no more rashes!My only gripe (kinda?) is that the pre-shampoo attracts grime, so we end up with little gooey, grey balls in the bathtub. They stick to the walls, too. I usually wash his hair and body right away, rinse my son and the tub, and then let it fill so he can soak for a bit. We have to scrub out the tub basin more frequently, but its worth it.
