No problems programming using IDS
I’m a technician at a ford dealership. Bought these to replace the broken/falling apart keys on my 2012 F150. These programmed with no problems using IDS. Well worth the money, way cheaper than the $120 (each, my cost) for OEM keys.

One key did not work
One key would not program to ignition of the truck. I know I was doing it correctly because one key did work.

4 hours in and no problems
So far, so good. Purchased 2 for a 2011 Ford F-250. I had 2 already but 1 would not remote unlock. I did the 3-time on-off ignition for the 2 existing keys and then put a new one in the ignition and it seemed to work. The second one I had to do several times before the locks cycled. The keys started the truck but the remote lock and unlock did not function. So, I tried the 8-time on-off ignition and that did the trick for the remote lock and unlock. Look at YouTube for the technique. It's possible I only had to do the 8-time on-off, but, nevertheless they're working now. I've not tried the remote start but I don't give a hoot about that anyway.

worked perfect to enable remote start on ‘13 explorer
with winter coming I wanted to get the remote start working on my gf’s ‘13 explorer that originally wasn’t optioned to have it functional. I already had Forscan as well as the dongle and hers already had the hood switch installed & hooked up. i had these keys cut mechanically, activated the remote start & turned on all the related settings in Forscan then learned these keys to the car using the add key function instead of erasing & relearning all keys. the remote start, lock & unlock buttons all function just like an oe key and she couldn’t be happier

Sorta works
So I had a locksmith cut and program the keys. He verified I do have a remote start installed that the factory key will work. BUT the new key only locks and unlocks but does not remote start. So the remote start function of this key is misleading! Will keep yawl updated on how long the rest of the functions last.Update!! After finding a video online I have found a solution that works with this key. If you press the lock button twice (slowly) then the remote start twice (slowly) it remote starts!
