SmartLab Toys The Amazing Squishy Brain

I bought this for my 13 year old son for a Christmas present, but he had a project this week over his future career so I gave it to him early. He LOVED this and it was the hit at school for his display. The top of the skull does NOT go on easily, but for what he needed it for it was fine and the price was reasonable. He really enjoyed the book that goes along with it too which was a good summarized version of what's important and easy to read. He also has the big book from National Geographic, but this is a good quick reference book for beginners.

Although this says it is for 8 yrs old and up, I bought it for my 5 yr old nephew, who says he wants to be a doctor when he grows up. He was so excited, when he opened it and has played with it everyday since!!I did see a lot of negative reviews, but I bought it anyway and I am very satisfied. The book that comes with it, is very informative and has lots of pictures. Yes, the pieces are small and it is not the best quality, but it is a toy that is perfect for tiny hands and my 5 year old nephew loves it!!

Loved the brain texture and all the parts. Only problem was skull parts kept falling apart. A little gorilla glue totally fixed it. Also brain parts fell apart easily so a rubber band helped until kids wanted to dissect it. All and all great learning toy.

I like the product and use it!

My son saw this in Target, but I ordered it on Amazon since it was less expensive. It was very hard to assemble. Attaching the skull to the mandible was difficult because the rubber band kept slipping off the hooks, and the holes and pegs used to attach the skull pieces together do no fit properly, so it kept falling apart. It was also hard to fit the skull onto the base as it just falls apart. My son was frustrated with this, but he liked the set anyway. And the book sparked his interest about learning about the brain.

This guy has a big brain. You can see right through his skull. Had to ask him to wear shades though. His eyes were freekin me out.

Super fun and squishy as described. My elementary aged son loves learning with this and squishy body.

Considering my grandsons received this as a Halloween gift, it was terrific! I like giving toys that are educational as well as fun, so this was just right up my alley. It is sturdy enough so my 6 and 8 year old grandsons can play without breaking it any time soon.
