Incipio NGP Case for iPhone 6 Plus - Retail Packaging - Translucent Neon Pink

This case is probably the best case I've seen that addresses all of my needs. Every aspect has been expertly designed to provide good enough protection while keeping my iphone relatively slim. It addresses all of the problems with the cases I've owned in the past while being a great case in its own merit.Here are a few things I like: Opening up the package, I noticed the back of the case curves inward a noticeable amount. I was very impressed with this design decision, as my iphone would push the back of the case outward so that the case is perfectly flush with the back of the iphone. I've bought speck candyshell cases in the past that would bulge out and leave a slight gap between the case and the phone, which bothered me relentlessly.Another problem I've had with the speck candyshell case was that it was so stiff that I actually bent my iphone 5 trying to take it off. This case is flexible enough that I don't worry about bending my iphone when taking it on and off.The case is thick enough to both cover the camera bulge and provide adequate protection from medium drops. I don't drop my phones that often, but when I do, these types of TPU cases are good enough to keep them from breaking or getting scratched up. The camera cutout extends a millimeter or so farther than the camera bulge, allowing it to lay perfectly flat on the back.The cutouts for the lightning connector and the headphone jack are big enough to fit third party cables as well as the larger headphone jack of my Audiotechnica M50x headphones.The buttons are very easy to press. I got a NGP case in the past for my iphone 5, and the buttons were impossible to press on that one. Incipio has greatly improved the button responsiveness since then.The lay on the table design is enough to keep me from worrying about scratching the screen when I place the phone face down, while still being shallow enough that it doesn't inhibit the iOS back swipe gestures.It's grippy enough to make me feel confident that I will not drop my iphone too much. I can use the fingerprint sensor much more easily with the case on just because I feel like it won't slip out of my hands if I hold it the wrong way.The overall design pleases me. The rounded edges keep the iphone's original look. The material on the black one is slightly translucent, which keeps the phone from looking too tacky. It goes very well with my space gray 6 plus, and I also like how it allows the apple logo to just barely show through on the back.Finally, I like the price. I generally like TPU cases for their material properties. As an engineer, I like the moderate rigidity and impact absorption. This type of TPU material is relatively cheap to produce, and it's good to see a well designed case from a company that isn't charging an arm and a leg just because it's an apple device accessory. I highly recommend this case, as it addresses the issues of other cases I've owned in the past. It provides everything I need both in terms of design and protection.

***** iPhone 6S Plus Update *****I upgraded to the iPhone 6S Plus and decided to continue to use this case with the new phone. Fit is definitely a bit more snug than the 6 Plus, but there are no alignment or functionality issues with the ports or buttons.I'm still very pleased with this case. There are a ton of slim fit case options in this price band, but I think the NGP is the best bang for buck case out there from a well known iPhone case maker.I'd love it if Incipio came out with a next gen model w/ slightly better grip and other color options.***** Original Review *****I picked this up as temporary protection for my phone until I could find a better option. I would put this case in between a snap-on-shell (ultra-thin to maintain overall phone design/feel with minimal/medium scratch/drop protection) and a tough-style case (can change the overall look/feel of the phone design, medium/maximum protection from drops/scratches). It's a much nicer than other cheaper soft feel cases and I think a much better value than Apple's Silicone Case for iPhone 6/6 Plus.Although it's not a "tough" case, but I would feel pretty confident that the Incipio NGP case will protect my phone in a short drop which is generally what I experienced with my previous phones. "NGP" describe's Incipio's "Next Generation Polymer" which provides excellent impact protection and scratch/tear resistance.The fit is snug and adds enough thickness to your phone for protection without drastically altering the design and feel of the phone in my hand. Because this is a soft case, the material around the sides of the bezel has some play in it if you pull enough on it, but it isn't so flimsy that I'd be worried about dirt and debris getting behind it in a short time. The sides just come up to the curve of the iPhone 6/6 Plus glass screen so it is screen protector friendly. The front of the case provides about a 1-2mm lip that allows you to set the phone face down to prevent the screen from touching the surface.The Incipio NGP has the soft touch feel of their DualPro cases which makes it feel good in hand and sliding in and out of pockets. The smooth/soft feel is nice, but it does little to increase the grip of the iPhone 6 Plus. I'd say the case's grip vs. the bare phone is marginal at best for an already grip challenged phone like the iPhone 6 Plus.All in all, it has a premium feel and offers better than average protection for a "slim" case. It isn't the perfect, but if you need good protection in a relatively inexpensive, no-frills slim-style case from a well-known iPhone case manufacturer, I'd put this on your short list. If you're looking for more grip for your iPhone 6 Plus, nicer style or better drop protection, there are other options if you are willing to live with the compromises I described at the beginning of this review.

If you want a cover that looks good and at the same time takes care of accidental drops - then look no further. The black is slightly translucent and you can see the Apple logo. Overall the build quality is top notch however I will give the finishing touches a 4 star. Definitely scope of improvement there. All in all - it’s a great cover.

This product is honestly alright. However for the price? hmm...The case itself fits like a glove on the phone. It is thick enough to lift the phone so that both the screen or the camera doesn't touch the surface when placed on a flat surface. It provides very little bulk to the phone and retains the phones slim figure. Since it is a very rubbery material, I'm sure my phone would survive a fall with this case on.The case is very slippery in my hands. I always feel like I would drop this when I'm browsing with one hand. The side buttons are really stiff and hard to press with this case on. The most dissatisfying part is the color of the case. I been using this case for about two weeks and the "white" case is turning a bit grey. And that was from just a casual use. If this case was like 10 dollars I wouldn't really mind and gave it 5 stars but looking at the price, I think there are better options elsewhere.

This design keeps the ultra slim feature of the iPhone but provides great protection as grip is important and raised rim provides remarkable protection to glass. I'd prefer a wider selection of colors as we are a multiple iPhone family.

Outstanding case. Voted best case on Engadget.-No extra bulk. Very sleek profile-Large port cut outs for headphones and connectors-Matte profile so does not stick when placed inside a pocket-Slightly raised profile so screen does not make contact with surface-Screen protector friendly-No flash distortion with the camera lens cut out10/10. Had it for a few weeks, still looks brand new. Perfect case for the simplest.

Awesome build quality. Durable. Offers great protection to the phone. Not one of the most good looking cases but takes care of the phone. Very satisfied with the product.
