The best, except maybe the mount
This is the most Kryptonite of Kryptonite locks, thick, strong, difficult to pick or cut through. Not impossible to defeat, used correctly, but about the best you'll get. Also, because of that: very heavy. What I don't like is the frame mount. No matter how it's mounted or adjusted, the mount (& lock) slides and pivots, often into the way of your pedaling, and with the size of the lock and the way the lock fits into the mount makes it difficult to impossible to mount out of the way (e.g., in the seat/cross/down post triangle).

Beast of a Lock!!!
I feel that my bike is super secure. This thing is heavy duty. It’s known far and wide to be a really good luck and when I went to lock my bike up my E bike that cost a lot of money I noticed that the bike right next to my bike had the same brand it was a lot older model, but it looked just as tough back then.

Needed more length than the FAHGETTABOUDIT.
Well, it's a Kryptonite U lock, so much better than any cable lock, (don't even waste your money on those if your bike has any value at all. You might as well hang a sign, "STEAL THIS BIKE!") If anything, use a heavy chain at the very least. The stronger "FAHGETTABOUDIT" version is just too impractical because it's so short. I want to be able to just slip this on when I park, not figit with trying to work it into a tight spot and maybe scratch the paint. It is ironic that the LIGHTEST bikes cost more, so we need a HEAVIER lock to secure them, and this monster lock is not light by any means. There's some misinformation about the "Protection" offer. It doesn't say you HAVE to have insurance (as some have said), but it looks like you DO need to register your Bike (and Lock) ahead of time. From their website:"Remember this is an OPTIONAL offer and you MUST register to participate in the Program." You also have to notify the police within 72 hours, and Kryptonite within 7 days. Probably the only sticky point is they want a pic of the broken lock or may even want to see it in person. A thief might just take the lock with him to prevent fingerprint ID.I've seen some complaints about it being hard to unlock after using it for awhile. I'm wondering if that's from thieves who tried to pick the lock but failed. They might have damaged the pins, trying to ram screwdrivers or whatever into it.I debated about buying two lesser locks for the same price as this one. Seems having two locks is preferrable, although no lock is completely theft-proof. Any lock can be defeated given enough time and opportunity, like leaving your bike outside overnight. I might eventually buy a 2nd Kryptonite down the road for my $2800 Trek Domane, maybe the "Lite" version to compliment this one.

Great Lock but Mount is Meh
Minus 1 star due to the mounting accessory included. The lock is great but difficult to mount on a bike with front and rear derailleurs. The first bump I rode over twisted the mount. I find the lock is best just looped through your saddle to make it simple to carry.

Really top of the line product.
Nothing is 100% safe even if you lock your bike up in your garage. But this hefty well built lock is definitely worth every penny. Super heavy duty and at a decent price. Great mounting hardware too. I feel pretty confident they ain't getting my bike unless it's a pro with a portable grinder. Even then it wont be easy or quick to disable.

Perfect
Pretty heavy and strong lock

No lock will stop a determined thief, but it might make them steal a bike that's easier.
Pros: Even more work to pick, and even more difficult to break or cut, than the regular Kryptonite. If you lose the keys, and had the foresight to register your purchase - and key code number - when you got it, Kryptonite can send you a fresh one.Cons: Even *heavier* than the regular Kryptonite. The keys are next to impossible to get duplicated at a locksmith. The key to keeping your bike from being stolen is for it to never be where a thief is looking for something to lift. That's not always possible; even inside your home or apartment, a burglar might decide that hey, this bike will make a nice getaway vehicle. So the next best thing is to use a lock that makes them say, "Eh, not worth the trouble, I'll steal the one over there where the fool used a cable lock that I can slice in half a second." And, of course, the lock itself is only haf of what you need; if the lock doesn't also go around something that they can't simply p[ick up with the bike and haul it away, they'll carry it around the corner and do the lock-breaking where they can work undisturbed by annoying cops or bike owners. There are lots of tips online about how to make it more likely that a thief won't steal *your* bike; reead, learn, and use the techniques that you need.

U-Bike Lock = Great riding fun
The lock is sized perfectly to properly secure my bike. It is very durable and the design is universal. I highly recommend this lock.
