Works very well
Have bought a few of these, for both soaker hoses and a pot dripper system. Works well with both, and has improved performance of both systems. I can turn the flow up further using these than was possible before, without any of the drippers or connections bursting off and you generally get less problems with drippers and connections coming loose or leaking. Compared to others I looked at, seems good value for money, although remains to be seen how long it will last. So far, have had no issues with leaks, noises, or pressure spikes at all. Have quite high water pressure here, too.. This is also a female click-fit hose connector, which I noticed some of the other pressure reducers are not, so you save having to buy a hose connector if you would otherwise need one to connect the soaker hose to the supply hose or to the tap. Btw: these can only be installed one way, the arrow on the side indicates the flow direction for the water. Would recommend.

Does the job
I purchased it as it was advised to reduce the pressure on an irrigation system I purchased. Mains pressure could blow the connections apart. It looks to be working fine as I have had no problems with any joints. It is not that expensive.

Buy better
Certainly does not reduce pressure to 1.7 bar. Will be buying known brand instead

Effective
Seems to work, unlike other brands that won't screw onto the tap. I haven't tried checking the actual output pressure, but it stopped the hose end blowing off, so I stopped worrying.

Works fine
I've used this on a field horse trough line. To reduce the pressure in the irrigation pipe. Saves it bursting under 5bar tap pressure. It does reduce flow a bit though.

Excellent, fit well.
Have not used it yet, but fits tight on the out side.

Simple to fit
and a good price but even after it was fitted the irrigation pipe still blew apart where 2 bits were connected. Maybe pipe old? Anyway duck-taped the two bits together and that stopped it.

Great if you watering sytem joints keep blowing.
This has been OUTSTANDING. I have high water pressure. The joints in my watering system kept blowing off. I fitted this and it all works perfectly. A very good price too.
