Dinner and a show!
I purchased this as an occasional slow feeder for one of my two dachshunds who likes to wolf down his food, then stands over his slow eating brother, waiting to see if there will be anything left for him to clean up.My husband said he wasn't sure if he was smart enough to use a food puzzle. I purchased it anyways. It took him a couple of tries with me showing him how to slide the components around to get to the food, but he quickly caught on. He still has some difficulty getting to the under the long white slides that you access by moving the inner circle, and out of frustration might try to bite at the slide. (From a close distance I always supervise while using this product.)It's definitely a good way for him to eat while stimulating his mind, and helps to slow down his consumption; A great interactive feeding component. To be sure that I'm not overfeeding him while using this product I scoop out the amount of food I would normally give him at feeding time, and take from that scoop and put into the feeding puzzle what I wish him to eat at that moment. I only put in one or two pieces in each of the 20 cups. (For our dogs we use small breed dog food - so if you use large breed dog food, or very round pieced food, it may not fit under the covers, or could cause sliding covers to jam, causing your puppy frustration, so I would recommend getting smaller treats to use with this product.)Whatever's left in his scoop I put into a slow feeder tray for later. The grippy feet on the puzzle help to keep it from sliding around, and it is easy to clean up if puppy gets overly excited and drools on it.I have a miniature dachshund who is about 13 lbs, and this is a perfect size for him!I don't know how well this puzzle would work for a large dog but up to a medium sized dog I could see it being perfect!

Puppy approved puzzle!
I've started getting into giving my dogs their food in puzzle toys, and ended up buying this to add to my small collection so far. Two of my dogs are used to puzzle toys so they're not too rough on it, but I do have a puppy that's still pretty new to them. Her solution to the puzzle is brute force, AKA keep digging until something moves and shows the food. I honestly thought she might break it the first time, but it's still in one piece! While I do continue to use this puzzle, it's more for treats now. Depending on your dog food you might be able to fit a whole cup in there if they're the size of like cat food pieces. For comparison, I use Taste of the Wild and Wellness Complete Health. TotW I can fit maybe 4 or 5 pieces in each hole if I do it right, WCH only 3 due to their triangular shape. The sliders get stuck on the food if it sticks out too far, but now that I think about it letting the sliders get stuck might add a bit of extra challenge for my older dogs.

My dog is so smart
I have all kinds of these games and they are great. Easy to clean, and keeps them busy and teaches them how to figure out to get the treat great

Puppy’s favorite toy right out of the box!
The media could not be loaded. My 3 month old chihuahua loved this puzzle right away & will stand up by the shelf begging for his puzzle toy!The sliding pieces are all connected and cannot get lost or removed. I have bought many dog puzzles for my mom’s dog and most all have removable parts that are great for the dog to pick up but they can become lost if not kept track of well. This one is nice because they just slide. The base is sturdy enough for a smaller dog to play flat on the floor, as I would think a bigger dog would be able to push or toss it around more but it definitely doesn’t bend.He doesn’t weight much, about 2lbs, but he is able to squeak the button in the middle and seems to really like that part, second to the treats of course. All in all we are very pleased with this product and I will be buying more if they are like this.

Great for dogs with separation anxiety
I bought this toy with the intention of keeping my pup occupied while my husband and I are away from home all day. Our dog has a bit of separation anxiety and tends to lick his paws out of boredom when we’re away. However, since implementing this toy as part of our leaving home routine, he often is so occupied with it that he is still trying to figure out how to get treats from it when we return home. I usually freeze a small bowl of peanut butter then chop up the frozen peanut butter into chunks to fill the toy with. This keeps my dog busy and also allows the peanut butter to stay solid. The toy is easy to rinse in the sink, so no peanut butter is left stuck in the crevices of the toy. The squeaker is a nice touch and keeps my dogs attention as he loves squeaky toys. All in all, this is a good toy to keep my pup busy and helps keep his attention long enough to prevent him from turning back to paw licking. I would recommend this toy to any dog owner.

You’ll have to teach your dogs how to use
The plastic feels a little light, and a little cheaply made. But for the sales/lightning price I got it’s worth it. Not like I’m going to make one myself. As for how it works, it seems to work as promised. No complaints there. The rubber feet help to keep it in place while the fur babies lick and bite and paw at it. So that’s a plus. However, it’s definitely something that takes patience both for the dogs and you. My beagles (God love ‘em) aren’t the brightest, so after a few minutes of not understanding how to get the treats they just started trying to chew the plastic off.So this isn’t something you can put down and just expect to get 10-15 minutes of peace and bliss while the kids play… at least not right away. You’ll need to take time to help teach the fur babies. If you don’t have time for that, look for a different puzzle like the licky mats. I definitely prefer the licky mats for a guaranteed parental break where they’re busy and kept working for a good amount of time to get all the goodies from the mat crevices. This is not that type of toy. It’s more of an interactive pet/owner puzzle. You’ll probably have to help show them how to nose the compartments open more than a few times. So keep that in mind before you buy.
