This is a great replacement! The buttons are quick and feels as if it’s the same as the original. The buttons immeditaly give a response and works great. The size and value were perfect for us.

No set up. Works out of the box. Problem fixed. Factory tcl remote was horrible. This is a breeze.

Update 1/12/24: I knocked it down to 3 stars for what happened as described below, but the replacements have lasted a really long time without any issues. It was just a lemon. That happens sometimes. This is a good, reliable product after all.Originally I gave this 5 stars because there was no set-up required; you simply add batteries, point, and click. However, in under a week of use, one of the remotes completely stopped working. My 10 year old was entirely unamused when his brand new remote unalived itself mid-volume-change. I’m going to purchase again in hopes that we just got a dud. If that turns out to be the case, I will come back and update my rating again.

It works well but it's HUGE compared to the previous unit but this is the only unit I could find where the voice function will actually work.

So glad to have found this remote replacement option so quickly. Just moved into a new home and upon putting up our TCL Roku TV on a wall mount, we realized we could not find the remote control as it was not in the box marked "TV Stuff" and the remote app was having connectivity issues. So, hopped online and found this item with good reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. It arrived quickly and as described, it immediately worked for our TCL Roku TV, no special programming required. The remote itself if very similar in design to the OEM Roku remotes. The colors are close, the size is the same, there is a slight difference in weight (it feels lighter), it does not have an audio jack input on it as my other remotes do, and it is not a grippy rubbery plastic as the others are. It is smoother and therefore a bit more slippery in hand. Not as bad as the G1 OEM Roku remotes, but somewhere in between the old and new OEMs. I do miss the audio jack function as sometimes I prefer to listen to shows using earpods so as to not be distracted. But that's ok. It will do for now until I can find my original remote. So I definitely recommend it! Just wish it had an audio jack and wasn't so slippery.

This remote has a numeric keypad that makes it much easier to change channels when we're watching antenna tv. With the original, you have to scroll up or down. This one is larger than the original, but I figure that makes it harder to lose, and easier to find if you do manage to misplace it.
