How these really work
I bought this product to convert my bicycle from Presta to Schrader but not as easy as it seems as my Presta valves did not screw apart. Apparently some do and some don't. Mine don't and had no reason to know this when I ordered as it does not jump out at you.I took my grinder and carefully cut about a quatrer inch of each Presta valve with wheel at about 10 o'clock so everything fell out, then used a file to make cut perfect and flat. Then used thread sealer and screwed adapters on. Works great and easy to do - if you use grinder have to be careful of spokes.

Five out of six worked great (replacement was easy)! Reliable, holds air well, much easier to use!
I purchased these because it was such a pain to put on and take off the brass presta adapter (it was also ruining the threads on the presta stem). Five out of the six we ordered worked flawlessly, but one leaked air overnight. After inspecting it, you could see that the little black O ring inside was damaged, so we got the set of 2 replaced, and the new ones worked perfectly. To install them, make sure your presta tube has a removable valve (it will have 2 flat sides so it can be unscrewed see photo). Let out the air, remove the presta valve (we used plastic tool -see photo), and screw the converter snugly onto the presta valve stem. Inflate with air and check for leaks. Be careful when removing the cap to not remove the converter.

Check for Leaks with Soap
One of the two had a defective internal o-ring and leaked. I ordered another set, took one out and used it and now I have a set that doesn't leak. I replaced the good one with the bad one and returned the second set. These are a great idea and so much better than presta valves, both in function and ease of filling or even letting air out as all you have to do is unscrew the whole thing and the tire deflates in about 3 seconds. It makes zero sense to me why anyone who races would not have these, it makes roadside repairs so much faster. Weight difference after removing old presta core is 3.5 grams per wheel. Would have given them 5 stars but the company didn't get back with me when I told them about the defective one.

Doesn't work
I liked the idea of presta to schrader conversion, but this item fell short. think it is missing a o-ring or something on the inside to seal the schrader valve part to the presta tube. I run tubeless tires and run them at 12psi most of the time not a whole lot of pressure and massive amounts of air escape through the threads my tire goes flat in less then a min. avoid these. if they actually worked it may have been worth the money, but they don't work at all. I bought 2 sets and all 4 fail to seal.

Easy to install and works okay
I bought a Trek bike that had the Schrader valves and later my wife bought one that had Presta valves. I found the Presta valves more delicate to use and easy to bend the slender rod that sticks up when pumping the tire. I bought these adapters so I would not have to use two types of inflation devices and two types of pressure gauges. The adapters went on easily. They accept the Shrader inflation clamp fittings very nicely. They also look good. I have noticed that despite being screwed onto the Presta valves very snugly, air leaking out of the tire is faster than my bike's tires by about 3-5 PSI. Otherwise, I am happy with these adapters.
