Excellent product
This fur removal rake is excellent. I don't understand the bad reviews. You do have to use it pulling it one way going with the carpet nap and it doesn't take the place of the vacuum, but that information is included in the description and directions. It pulled up so much fur that it amazed me. It is worth the money and easy to use. I have two herniated discs in my lumbar and felt no pain while using. The handle is sturdy, and it is easy to flip it from side to side. I think I am going to buy a 2nd one in case this gets discontinued.I have three cats. Two very long fur orange ones and 1 medium fur. This is from 1/3 of an area of a small 8x10 room with about 15 minutes of raking and now I can vacuum without clogging up my vacuum. The velvet side works excellent on cloth furniture and both sides are very easy to clean with the small hand-held rake that is included. I have not tried the vacuum attachment yet.

Makes in between vacuuming so much easier
I have a excessively fluffy cat my cat has actually a triple coat so as you would imagine he sheds terribly especially in the warm weather it is a challenge to actually keep up on brushing him so I recently purchased a beautiful area rug but I didn't want to have to pull out my vacuum everyday or every other day just to keep it looking in top shape from fur. And if he hops up on the couch or anywhere else he can leave a blanket of his fur and even with a handheld limp brush it takes forever to clean things. That's where this comes in it works wonderful for not only my area rugs but any other larger surface of furniture to lift up the fur I find the rake side works great at getting the very soft fluffy fur that glues down lifted enough to actually be able to be removed and then the limp brush side really clean the fur off of the surfaces. I read a few reviews where people were saying that they had problems with it that it broke I mean it's has plastic to it you can't be too rough with it. But honestly for my needs it works great and it actually saves me electricity by a little bit. I was getting ready to clean the lint side up and with the rake piece that it comes with which is also very handy and he proceeded to think that it was a brush and so I had to use it on him. The vacuum attachment is pretty nice it took a little bit of time to get it to stay on my vacuum but once I was able to get it tightened down enough it worked pretty well. If you're looking for something to help in between vacuum sessions if you have an animal that sheds a lot I would recommend this

Love it, but Build Quality Could be Improved
First off I just want to say that I use this product nearly every day. I love the concept. Though the build quality on the brush head could be improved. It has a small turning knob with a push and turn lock to change the head from the wire slicker brush to the red fabric lint brush. I find that when using the wire side it can get caught in the carpet (This itself could be a fault to some, though I don't consider it to be.) this often will make the head partially flip and will need to be locked back in to continue using it.Now, I have a Great Pyrenees mix who sheds, a lot, even with daily brushing. I try to sweep and vacuum often to keep the amount of fur floating around to a minimum. My vacuum (Which is advertised for pet hair.) would get full very quickly, often needing to be emptied out three to four times before I was done. It would also get balls of fur caught and tangled in its rotating brushes causing it to overheat. Since vacuum cleaners can be expensive to replace I wanted to try and prevent this. I resorted to using my dogs slicker brush on the carpet after I'd swept the room. This worked, but at the cost of being on my hands and knees tediously brushing and cleaning the slicker. It took at least an hour and a half before I'd vacuumed each time. This was not a good way to do this, so I got online and looked for a broom that would work similar to the dog's brush, since the traditional one only got superficial fur out. I found a few that had soft silicone or rubber brushes on them and tried those. They didn't help much with the long fur. I tried what where essentially large lint rollers for the carpet, it was alot more trash and it did even worse. Getting frustrated and running out of options I found this product. I was skeptical at first, mostly because I had bad experience with other "fur removers" but I gave it a try. I can not stress how much I LOVE IT!! This has saved my vacuum, my knees, and my back. It picks up almost the same fur as the slicker brush does but in a fraction of the time, and without hurting my knees or back. My capets look so much better and there is less fur floating around everywhere. My dog loves it too for some good lazy scratches. He will lay in the middle of the floor while I'm using it and rollover so I can brush him with it.I really recommend this product with the knob being the only downside.

Buy this now!
If you have a hairy dog, you need to buy this immediately. It is life-changing! It's so easy to assemble and use, and you won't believe the amount of hair it gets out of the carpet. My dog is 11, and I really wish I'd had one of these for the past 11 years. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Buy this...you will love it.***I had to come back to rave about this tool again. It is the best thing I've ever purchased for cleaning. I'm amazed at how much hair it gets out WITH ONE PASS. I thought I'd have to do areas multiple times to get all the hair out. My very hairy dog is 11, so over a decade's worth was "ground in" the carpet fibers. Nope...one round does the trick. My vacuum cleaner may last forever now!

Dirty
I wish I could give this 5 stars considering this is the second one I have bought. I love this device. It works great I have a malamute whose shedding will ruin a vacuum. This rake has saved me so much money on a new vacuum a year. However this one came used. Personally I think that’s nasty. Buyer be cautious if you are hoping for new.
