Update - the seller, Lamicall, saw my review, and based on that refunded my cost, and let me keep the stand which I had decided to do anyway - great stand, just difficult to adjust. And no, they did not even mention updating this review. Plus 2 stars for this - way beyond what I was expecting.I bought this thing hoping it would be (a) easy to adjust for online meetings and (b) not too high for everyday use, but...- to adjust it, the hinges are so tight I have to take the laptop off and pick it up to get enough of a grip to adjust it as the hinges are STIFF...no worries about it creeping down or collapsing under my 4 pound MacBook- at it's lowest the front is 1½ in. off the desktop which makes it too high for normal typing, which means I have to stow it for normal times and bring it back for meetings- tends to vibrate like a tuning fork but that doesn't bother me so muchI guess if you use a separate keyboard those issues might not be a problem but that's not my use case. I'm going to work with it a while but I can see this getting returned.

Nice item! Build quality feels solid and first-rate. Holds laptop securely while allowing for adjustments. Is a little difficult to pull apart initially but I guess this is how it's designed, to stay put. I hope it doesn't ever become loose. I had been using a low profile laptop stand that held my MacBook Air closed (while using docking station and external display) but I'm considering keeping my laptop in this, to use both screens when wanted.

The lap top stand is heavy and works like a charm. It bring the computer to a level that is much better for my neck!

This works great. I work from home and always use my laptop. I get so tired of sitting and this is perfect for giving me a standing break. Very sturdy and tight. I love it. Would definitely recommend!!

Purchased the Gold one a few months ago and coming back for the silver for my husband, he allows borrows mine for video calls! Supports my MacBook perfectly and never wobbles even when typing - not sure why some reviews state that except they must have received a defective item. This thing is strong, sturdy and looks sleek and very aesthetically pleasing.NOTE: the gold color is between gold and rose gold, which I love. It might not work for some. It’s stunning and I’ll attach some photos.Also NOTE: Be sure to have a case on your computer or tablet which allows breathing room. Reviews on here stating overheating bc of misaligned air venting should not be putting their investment directly on any surface IMO. I’ve provided capture of how nicely the air can circulate when a case is used with small footings. Hope this helps & have a great day!

I’m actually using it for a very wide office phone and it works perfectly. Very sturdy.
