Boker Magnum 02MB540 Breacher Knife with 4 1/4 in. 440 Stainless Steel Blade, Brown

The ad notes that the blade is 440 Stainless but fails to mention it is 440A which in my mind is much better than 440 which usually is found to be 440C. The thick blade is very solid and strong. The Kydex sheath and adjustable belt mount create an exceptional versatility in mount positioning. Would definitely recommend this knife to a hunter, camper, or a hiker for personal security.

I was eager to open the box when it arrived, as I am a fan of Boker products. I understand that the Magnum series is intended to be products which can move at a more affordable price. Right from the first glance it didn't look right. This is not the knife pictured. The scales are correct. The blade itself is not at all in the same ballpark. The edge extends well below the choil ahead of the plunge line. The grind was done lengthwise on the blade, not vertically as is visible in the ad shots. There is no defined angle where the belly meets the tip. The sharpening is broad and uneven/unequal. There is an extra thumb groove filed in. The Boker brand etch is subdued (which I do prefer). If it is still actually 440 steel, then it is still very abusable as intended. It just is not the same as the image and is different enough that it warrants mentioning. I'm tempted to buy another one from a proper vendor to see if there is a production difference.

Great knife! Very heavy duty but also great for edc I carry mine horizontally on my belt and it’s great,sometimes I have to take it off in the car but that’s a minor inconvenience.

Bought it as a throwing knife. The balance is great and overall so far it is indestructible. I did wrap the handle para cord just to be safe. Throws great! Is also a great every day carry.

I've had this knife in the field for three days, I've used it to do no more than open a handful of MREs. I was disappointed but not super surprised to find it with some rust on it this morning. (It's hot out here and I've been sweating a lot. ) But I was very disappointed to find upon further inspection that the blade had actually broken. Again I want to stress that this knife has only been in the sheath that came with it and used only to cut open bags.

Worth every penny was made very well

I am delighted with the quality of the Boker blade, but then again I usually am.

Good knife just wish the holder was made of leather. Over all it’s good to go.
