I saw all the "batteries dead on arrival" reviews, so I bought some batteries just in case. Sure enough, all 3 batteries were dead on arrival! Except... when I started to put in fresh batteries, I realized that the original batteries are UPSIDE DOWN. This is probably on purpose, but there is nothing about this in the instructions. When I flipped the batteries the right way around, all 3 started working perfectly. Anyway, I really like how light these alarms are, so I was able to install them on command strips in places where I did not want to drill. They are also extremely loud. Very easy to attach and remove them from their brackets.

Once you find the distance between two mounting holes then it is easy to install. Overall good product. Fast delivery.

Installed the whole house with these, so far so good.

The base stays behind and the detector is separately removed. The base stays on the ceiling and you can bring the detector down to change the battery. Then back on the ladder, twist detector onto the base and you are done. Much safer then being on a ladder removing a battery and trying to get the new battery in without dropping it or falling.

Very easy install and comes with 9V batteries too.. Definitely recommend!

Purchased a 3 pack of Model i9050 in 2020. Two of the three now (June 2022) no longer working. Advertised to have 10 year life. Replacing battery has no effect. Both give a loud false-alarm signal 3x every 5 minutes or so. The third disconnected since too sensitive near kitchen (10 feet from stove).
