Great.
An entertaining Star Wars series following Ezra development as a Jedi.

Awesome Show!
I am a huge Star Wars fan, I've watched the movies more times than I can count, I have played kotor, and still play swtor, I continue to read more and more SW books, starting with Zahn years ago and moving on to other talented writers like James Luceno. I saw a new book come out that seemed interesting, by an Author that I had read very little from: John Jackson Miller's A new Dawn. The part that pulled me in was that it was after the purge, but before "A New Hope." I read the book in less than two days, and absolutely loved it. After reading this book, I realized that Disney was making a new Animated Series. The Clone wars had never really interested me as much; I got a few seasons in and gave up. I had read plenty of books about that time, so did not have much interest in the story, but the idea that this series was continuing not too long after A New Dawn finishes off, was too much for me to pass up.I bought the season pass for Star Wars Rebels, and am extremely glad that I did. It is the fresh start that the genre needed, it brings in people who have been fans for years and also kids that my not have even watched star wars in the past. It makes me even more excited when I think of the Next trilogy that Disney is doing. The story is well written, the characters are dynamic, the story draws you in and keeps you in suspense waiting for the next episode. It is a show well worth watching.

Rebels keeps getting better and better with each episode
Star Wars: Rebels keeps getting better and better with each episode! This particular one was excellently written and perfectly executed. I loved the mixture of humor and action, as well as the huge bundle of secrets revealed about the Jedi Order! Zeb and Sabine finally work together in this episode, which is nice to see. Those two work so well together on screen. It was also interesting to see how Ezra has slightly matured in this episode. In the beginning he is a little smart aleck, but at the end he is a bit more understanding towards Kanan. Ezra is beginning to remind me of a mixture between Anakin and Luke, which is really cool. And the bad guy? Jason Isaacs is spot-on as the Inquisitor, like an alien Lucius Malfoy. He delivers his lines beautifully. This is one Dark-side user I would not want to face!Overall, great show. The only complaint? All of these episodes are too short. Why couldn't they work out an hour-long time slot? Also, I would like to see backstories about the other characters. We know about Kanan, but I want to hear more about Sabine, Hera, and Ezra...and especially Zeb. We already got a tidbit about his past in "Droids in Distress", and it would be great to see his full backstory soon. Such great characters deserve equally great stories.Great job, and kudos to the Rebels crew!

The Waiting is Over
Not much for writing reviews, but I felt compelled to say that seeing Star Wars as a child (I was 7) when it originally came out changed my life as a kid forever and it's impact is still felt very much so today (in my mid 40's and still star struck). I just wish that I held on to my action figures, Death Star and Millennium Falcon ($$$)!The thing that always frustrated me growing up all these years was what additional powder kegs of fun and life changing story did Mr. Lucas sit on all these years? I always waited on pins and needles to hear that the Star Wars Universe would be expanding with more content, more people/beings/droids and most definitely, more of The Force in an attempt to sustain my insatiable thirst for more in depth storytelling...but it never really came except for the first 3 films and the animated Clone Wars series that just didn't seem to be enough (like shooting a BB gun at a freight train of yearning). Then FINALLY! Disney has taken the reigns of the franchise and it would seem that they are going all in with the much awaited content I had been pining for all these years. After the Clone Wars (which was done incredibly well), I was so pleased to hear of Star Wars Rebels arrival. After watching the 1st episode and the rest of the 1st Season, I was very pleased. It basically gets us familiar with the cast of characters and settles us in for what I hope to be a long and popular series. I hope even longer than the Clone Wars series. You should keep an open mind however, because if you are expecting the same incredible style of graphics/animation as the Clone Wars, you will be disappointed (at 1st). It took me several episodes in to adjust to the new style of animation, but by the end of the season I was hooked (again!).With shows like Star Wars Rebels and the upcoming theatrical movies like Rogue 1, The Force Awakens and not to mention Episodes 8&9, I believe the future is looking pretty bright for we longtime original fans of old.Now all I have to do is try to stay alive long enough to see them all come to fruition!Take care and enjoy the 1st Season!Tommy G.
