We love this rain gauge, but we had some rain then we had an unusual freeze and our glass gauge broke when the rain in it froze. Finding these made our day,

Large diameter rain gauge.
Easy to read, large diameter it should allow for better accuracy, but one thing that is weird is that the inch scale is not marked in 0.1 inches, it's marked in 1/8th inch graduations.

Fits nicely in 2 inch ABS or PVC
Don't worry about mounting it - 2" ABS pipe will let it slide in and the lip stops it at the top. You could do some fancy cutting to be able to read it in the pipe, but I just lift it out.

Sturdy, and easy to read
I accidentally broke my Mother’s rain gauge. Much sorrow ensued. I grabbed my trusty iPad and quickly found a replacement on my much used Amazon app.Got it within 2 days….she lives out on the back forty. Not bad, Amazon! She is extremely interested in the amount of rain that has fallen, and she reports to her nearest neighbor. It is a very nice gauge. I might order one for myself. Possibly inherited obsession with amount of rainfall.
