There are class 4's and there are CLASS 4's
I got this little bugger as I needed a bit more memory in my secondary phone as the 4 gig one was really getting insufficient for my needs. The product arrived fast enough and I have to agree with one of the previous reviewers that the packaging was not one of those plastic monstrosities that seem to have been designed specifically to infuriate the consumers. The thing that kinda shocked me was when I decided to do a full check if the memory was OK,because 8 gigs for this price seemed somewhat suspicious I discovered that the card is consistently faster than both the 4 gig SanDisk it was replacing, but also the 32 gig one I have in my main phone despite all cards being the same type - microSD HC Class 4's. Here are the specifics as tested using CrystalDiskMark 2.2 with a 50 meg test file and 9 repetitions:4gb SanDisk (the 32gig one had roughly the same result)Sequential Read : 8.508 MB/sSequential Write : 2.716 MB/sRandom Read 512KB : 8.553 MB/sRandom Write 512KB : 1.743 MB/sRandom Read 4KB : 0.755 MB/sRandom Write 4KB : 0.270 MB/s8gb KingstonSequential Read : 13.748 MB/sSequential Write : 6.084 MB/sRandom Read 512KB : 13.820 MB/sRandom Write 512KB : 2.747 MB/sRandom Read 4KB : 2.182 MB/sRandom Write 4KB : 0.038 MB/sOf course,I might just be lucky with the batch/chip,but it's still an interesting speed difference

Excellent value for money
This tiny piece of kit is so adaptable, for me at least, since I can use it in a number of devices and if your not too nimble fingered it comes with an adapter for use in devices that take the 'standard' size. However, for those of us who aren't technically aware there is a small sliding tab at the side of the adapter which is labeled 'lock' which I thought if used it locked the micro SD card in place once inserted - not so - it write protects so existing data isn't overwritten by accident which is very useful if you are in the know. Pretty basic ignorance on my part but after a search on google I was soon loading my desired items to it from my desktop and was very pleased with the result. As yet after several weeks of use I haven't had any experiences of failed recognition but I have felt it necessary to be gentle with the micro card when inserting it into some devices since it's not immediately obvious which way is the correct way to load it - it's possible to insert the card upside down which may result in damage if you're too heavy handed . This may be down to the lack of instruction on the devices I use and my basic lack of knowledge of such things. All in all I'm more than pleased with the product.

No problems with product - a small delay with shipping
I bought this product for an e-book reader and the fact that it had the adapter for normal SD slots was a boon as it means you can use it in many other devices or you PC directly (if you have the SD slot, of course). The price was also very competitive when I compared it to what was generally available on the high street. The product has functioned perfectly over the month I have been using it - both directly (in my e-book reader) and through the adapter. Basically, it does what it says it should do, which means that I can't really knock it. I've also used it in an mp4 player with the adapter, where it worked perfectly. It comes in the typical wrapping, although the plastic part containing the product can be kept and used to store both parts. Given that micro-SD cards are so tiny, it's good to have something a little more visible to store it in and keep it together with its adapter. There was a delay with shipping. This was only about a week and I wouldn't have minded too much except that I received an email saying "already shipped" a couple of days before the next one telling me it would not be shipped until later. When you're really keen to get something, then it's slip-ups like these that can sour the customer experience. What also irked me somewhat was that, after sending feedback explaining what had happened, I got a mail from the company asking me not to give them negative feedback. I'm afraid that that is something you achieve by doing things correctly in the first place, and not by asking for it.

Great value memory
Before getting to the actual memory card, I'd first like to mention two things I like:1. It comes with the MicroSD adapter - something I find very useful.MicroSD is almost *the* standard for mobile phones (with even stubborn manufacturers like Sony Ericsson slowly ditching their proprietary formats in favor of this) but the problem is, a lot of larger products (like cameras and laptops for instance) take only the standard SD card. Here, it is advantageous to have the adapter because all you have to do is plug the card in your adapter and you're ready to transfer your pix/files from your phone to your laptop and vice versa.2. The packaging won't injure you.Quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of those horrible plastic-clamshell packaging which takes a knife and two steady hands to cut open; fortunately, this card ships in a neat cardboard cover which surrounds a re-sealable plastic 'case' that can also double as a storage case in case you need it (although wasn't probably intended for that purpose).Getting to the actual card, I found the card reasonably fast with okay read and write speeds; this is most likely attributed to the "Class 4" speeds it carries, but to be honest I'm not too sure what that means for the average joe (who's probably only going to use this on their phone or whatever)The only (small) complaint I have is that its a tad bit difficult to pull the memory card out of the adapter, but then that's hardly a complaint considering the performance and the price, so I gladly give this five stars.
