I've had this Samsung tv F O R E V E R. I believe the original remote succumbed to batteries being left in too long - I had directv and I didn't need it but when I finally decided to use it, the batteries had corroded inside.I found this remote and it's perfect. Does what I need it to do. I really am amazed that there is no setup involved at all.
