Flats Fillets of Anchovies in Pure Olive Oil with Hot Pepper

Great for a fresh grape tomato pasta sauce

I love anchovies and hot peppers so this was an instant purchase for me. The anchovies themselves are the run of the mill kind you can purchase in a grocery store. They are plump, they have some bones or "fur" as i like to call it. The salt taste level is actually lower than the canned varieties I have tried. The red peppers give the anchovies a tiny kick in spice level if you eat it straight up. I tried some on a pizza and they tasted like normal run of the mill anchovies. The main reason for 4 stars is that the lid on the jar was not sealed in any way and the label was greasy as well.They are tasty, but over priced. I would consider buying them again if the price were lower.

MY GRANDSON WANTED TO HAVE SOME ANCHOVIES & WAS HAPPY T RECEIVE THEM ESPECIALLY THAT HE LIKES A LITTLE HEAT & THESE HAD THE CRUSHED PEPPER IN IT........

dont know what i was thinking ordering something at this cost and nonreturnable

Great taste, might be hotter for my taste, still beats plain, How about wide mouth jar, sell these jars to olive selllers!

taste very good but way over priced

Bottle does not have any safety seal (no shrink plastic collar, nor pop-up button). Lid is simple screw top.

When the anchovies arrived the oil had spilled out from the glass jar snd was all over the place so I just threw them away.. very disappointing!!
