NOVICA Colonial Wood And Leather Jewelry Box, Brown 'Colonial Treasure'

Functional and good looking piece. Too many fake/cheap chests on this website, but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

This chest is sublimely well crafted from very fine materials. The packaging was done to remarkably high and secure standards, obviously to protect the box during a long journey. The moment I unwrapped the paper around the chest, I could smell the leather. The tooling of the leather is of the highest order. This product was made and shipped with love in every respect. The people who designed and manufactured this product clearly are perfectionists.It is true, as other reviewers have noted, that the back of the lid does not align with the chest in the same way that the front of the lid aligns with the chest. This is not the result of poor craftsmanship but in order to accommodate the hinge attachment on the back of the lid. For me it’s certainly not a problem, and I doubt that most people would even notice it while the box was on display on a table.This is not a toy for children. It a work of art and should be handled as such. The interior of the chest is also beautifully crafted.It took a while for the chest to arrive, but it was worth the wait.

The box is very beautiful and it nicely fits the memorial items I’m keeping inside. The only downside is the packaging. As you can see, they stuffed it into a small and tight cardboard box without any bubble wrap or any other protective material. It appears that because of this, it ended up with a couple scuff marks. Also, the key doesn’t sit well and is slightly angled downward when left in the keyhole. The lid itself stays open nicely and sits flush when closed. Overall it is a very nice box and I’m keeping it, just wish they would’ve packaged it better when shipping.

I was extremely impressed with the detail of the product, as well as the quality. I have a standup jewelry chest that doesn’t lock and was planning on sitting the box on top but it’s a bit larger than I imagined so I’m using it on top of the dresser.I make furniture and small wood projects and I am impressed with the detail and quality of your work.I’ve checked out all your wood/leather boxes but many of them don’t list sizes or show multiple pictures including the inside. I would suggest you give the same pictures and details for all your products. Your products are awesome so show them off and provide sizes. It you had a smaller and shorter one crafted like this one i’d Buy it too.You are a great craftsman!Thank you!

I bought this as a Pirate’s treasure chest for my grandson’s 8th birthday. I filled it with old coins and other collectables. Great collectible, price is worth the quality.

I was looking for a unique, spectacular box to display my rare silver coins and this is the one treasure chest I selected from the hundreds I reviewed. Since I was a kid I have always been infatuated with pirates, silver, gold and treasure chests. I still search and find rare silver coins and I have many hundreds - but no way to present them with the respect they deserve. I received this box and filled it to overflowing with over 1500 coins and it is breathtaking. I have now ordered another (the Colonial Mystique) to contain the overflow and newly found coins. The artisan is a master craftsman and his attention to detail and exactness can be found in every square inch of this magnificent treasure chest. I highly recommend supporting such artisans.
