no, it does not reduce glare at all. We bought it specifically to protect the screen so our special needs son could watch the TV and do minimal damage. For that purpose it has been great.

What are the actual dimensions of this protector?

38.5" wide, 23.25" tall. 1.25" full length "lip" that rests on the top of the tv frame.

Will this fit a samsung 50" smart tv? Very slim frame.

It should fit a slim frame samsung 50" smart TV. I have it installed on a Sony KDL50W800B 50-Inch 1080p 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV which has a 1/2 inch bezel on the top and sides and about 1 inch at the bottom. The Vizomax measures 44.5 x 27 inches (as measured by me)and hangs about 1/2" wider than the TV on both sides and about 1 inch below the TV at the bottom. Looks quit nice actually.
