This was quite useful when I was building my PC as I had to work on carpet, where static build up is very common and quite a risk when handling sensitive components.It was a good fit and the strap has a decent amount of room to put your wrist . However, on my first time putting the strap on, it decided to pop out of the clip which I had to adjust and clamp again. After that, it stayed clamped on tightly with no issues.It has a very good length at 8ft which is about 2.5 meters - plenty of space to move around.The crocodile clip is easy to attach to the item that will be acting as the grounding point.Seemed to do a good job as I usually get small static shocks when trying to work on carpet but for the duration of wearing this wrist strap, I didn't get any static shocks.Good investment to ensure safety when working with sensitive electrical components. Can be used in a variety of situations but as I like to work with PC's and other electronics in my spare time, this will be extremely useful!

Nicely manufactured just a couple of points. Could have done with a longer cord, people who are not conversant with dispersing static will be unaware want to connect to. As an Electronics engineer and Electrical engineer I changed the product by creating a bespoke plug where the lead is connected to the earth pin. If others do this they will need to ensure that the Neutral and live pins are isolated correctly.

This is a quality ESD protection wrist strap. Ignore the reviews that mention that there is no metal plate behind the clasp. Unfortunately those reviewers have only seen the cheap type that have a skin contact connection on the clasp only. Proper straps, like this one, have conductive strands sewn into the entire elastic strap. I work for a large telecoms company and this is the type that we use.

no connection from lead to wrist strap ,had to cut lead close to connector, and solder lead on myself, not worth the time to send back for replacement. do not buy !!!!

Before purchase I'd heard about non-functional wrist straps being sold that don't actually have continuity between the wrist strap and the clip, so I tested this with a multimeter before use.It turns out this was one of those non-functional straps - without continuity it cannot possible work as described as an anti-static strap and worse could give false confidence when working with static-sensitive parts. This may be a one-off with my particular item faulty, so test before use to be sure.Returned for a refund which went smoothly so I cannot fault the seller for that part.
