It does a good job squeezing out the juice and the pulp comes out pretty dry, so you know it is working. It is not exactly quiet though, kind of sounds like a robot chewing on rocks.The design looks solid with the stainless steel parts, and it feels like it will last a while. I like that it comes with strainers, because I hate chunky juice. The auger works slow and steady, which keeps the juice from tasting weird or getting too foamy. It definitely makes stuff like carrot or celery juice easier than using a blender.Cleaning is not terrible, but you do need to rinse everything right away. Some pieces are a little awkward to scrub if you forget. It also takes up some space on the counter, and it is not light, so moving it around is kind of a pain. If you are lazy like me, you might grumble about cleanup more than once.Overall, it makes good fresh juice and feels worth the effort. I was so excited to juice for my husband as part of his birthday present. He loves clean eating and natural juices etc.I put it together and cleaned it as instructed.I purchased and loaded it up with all types of vegetables and fruits, ready for our first cold pressed juice.I pressed the "On" button and Nothing!I trouble shooted and still Nothing! The machine did not work at all! What a waste!Test your machines before you send them out! I wasted @ $50 in veggies and fruits because of you and you put a damper on my husband's birthday?Thanks but No Thanks! Don't buy this machine.
