Q: Has anyone seriously tested this in an off-grid situation? 33 amps at 12V seems pretty optimistic.

It don't work for me it vibrates like hell no power output stay away from this product bad news

You will need a dump load resistor. Missouri wind and solar have an excellent help department, and will have what you need to run it properly. Ditch the factory supplied controller; you’ll thank me later.

Q: What wind speed in miles per hour does it begin to produce power?

I am told by customer service, in excess of 10 mph sustain wind speeds are needed. However, I could have misinterpreted as bad translation from Chinese.
