I’m not sure why this has ANY bad reviews. Product arrived as described, is of good quality and I installed it by myself in less than 5 minutes on a 2017 Jeep Renegade.The instructions are not needed as it’s a very simple and straightforward process. Those who cited install problems have no business working on a vehicle by themselves, period.Hints: 1) Ensure the bottom plate is tucked into the piece that sits on top of the cargo rail; this is how the clamp tightens. (2). The knobs only need to be snug. If you followed hint #1 it will clamp down just fine and will not slide. If you unnecessarily over tighten the knobs, you’re going to strip them out and that’s on you. (3). You’re going to have some wind noise, and you will with any cross bars, because science.10/10 would recommend and purchase again.

The product was in good shape. However, it Amazon said it would fit my vehicle. When I went to install it on the Compass the bracket wasn't wide enough to straddle the rail. I tried to finesse it thinking it would snap on eventually and proceeded to break the bracket where the screws go. $100 down the drain.

This is a good substitution for the OEM rack. I installed it in about 30 minutes. It fits my 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk perfectly. I have mo problem opening the sunroof at all. I haven’t had anything in it yet, driving from Denver to Illinois at Thanksgiving so I’ll follow up after.There were no instructions in the box so I had to look at a similar product on Amazon and a couple of YouTube ideas, that the reason for the one star reduction.11/9/18 - Update: I drove on the highway for the first time yesterday and there was a lot of wind noise. I have the full sun roof on the Compass and that may have something do it with it.

Initially appears to be good quality, but the supplied hardware doesn't fit. The bolts to connect the cross pieces with the end caps are too short - they do not protrude past where the nuts are supposed to connect. I had to buy longer cap screws to reach the nuts (16 mm are too short, need 25 mm length to engage the nuts). Will edit and add once I get a chance to actually install the rack.UPDATE: After mfg contacted me, I found out I was installing them incorrectly. The hardware supplied was correct. However, they were still quite difficult to engage the mounting hardware with the factory installed mounting hardware. It took a lot of playing and struggling to engage the bolts to the roof of my Kia Soul.

Follow the instructions people!!! These bars are highly adjustable, its real simple too! If you have an old body style compass 2017 or older...I can almost guarantee you these will work. The directional arrows with the image of a car located on the ends of the bars is what you really want to focus on, one of them says "FRONT" on it. Dont be rebellious, do what the product instructions tell you and everything will work out...so long as these were made for whatever vehicle you happen to be modifying 🤷 best of luck diy'ers

Product was easy to install, and fit on my 2017 Compass as advertised. Those w/ 2017 compass issues most likely have the old-style 2017 body, not the new one they released later in the year (that this product is made for).Once everything was installed and tightened down, the product is very sturdy, and I see it getting a lot of use during the summer months here.

I was very disappointed in this product. First off, the box came torn up and had holes all over. When we proceeded to open the box, the bag with the bolts and other small pieces was already ripped open and missing pieces. When we layed out the product to try to see how to install, we noticed there also was no instructions. Pieces were also bent and not in new condition. Strongly recommend going with a different product.

Bought these for my Jeep. Love them. They look beautiful. They even came sooner than the expected delivery date. Highly recommend. Thanks guys, I love them!

Great product, easy to follow instructions. Fit my 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk perfectly.

Went on easy after we figured out that each bar is a different length. After second use a screw came loose which created wind noise and anxiety of it falling off

Great quality. Instructions are not great and took a bit of googling to figure out how to install but once I did, it went smooth and they fit perfect! If the instructions were better it would be a 5 star for sure.

I recommend using using larger washers than the ones that came with them. Other than that, so far so good.
