quality heavy duty plugs that work great, look great and are easy to wire up.
what can be said, they are solid good quality and they are easy to wire up with no silly little screws like my past ones. simple unscrew the body of the plug, stick in the wire and screw back together, job done. they are some great looking quality plugs at a reasonable cost too. only shame is you don't exactly get to see them once there wired up.

Monoprice High-Quality Closed Screw Type Copper plugs.
When I first got these I thought that I had made a mistake as there were no screws for holding the cable tight, however it is actually very simple...or maybe I am simple...but all that is needed is to unscrew the end cap from the body, strip about half a nails width of cable, thread through the end cap then all the way into the body of the plug, then tighten the end cap which compresses the cable tightly, and thats it done.Very simple and secure.I was a bit dubious about the quality of these for the price and also ordered a pack of 10 x HIGH END Nakamichi Bananenstecker Bananas plugs just in case. They cost three times the price but are not three times as good.In the future I will be buying the Monoprice plugs as they are excellent.Happy to recommend.

Good quality and price - just a bit fiddly
I've used the side entry screw banana plugs previously and was going to again but saw these thinking the wire would be completely out of harm's way. They're good solid plugs so no complaints there. I had to redo a couple of them as when I checked the cable for firmness it came out so I had obviously not put it in far enough. They're not as simple as the side entry screw type where you can see the wire clamped by the screw but they do look neater once done, fit the terminals on the speakers and amp firmly and everything sounds as it should. Can't complain at the price so nearly a 100% recommendation.

Value for money without compromise .
These banana plugs are definitely the best value for money banana plugs on the market. Banana plugs are simple and not worth spending a fortune on as they don't affect the sound/signal in a audibly negative way so why spend more than you need too. These plugs are built well and feels good quality in the hand. The screw type banana plug is a good tool free method but a bit more fidily than the 2 flat head screw type.I bought these for my home theater setup and quickly ordered more sets for my stereo and desk setup.

Ideal for thicker speaker cables (5-6mm)
I love these plugs. After a little studying I found that, once dismantled. Take the bottom section (With colour ring) place it over the appropriate cable, bend the last 3mm of the wire 90 degrees push it into the middle section till a small amount is protruding through the threaded hole of the Banana end, then tighten the middle section and bottom sections together as tight as you can get them (I pinched them up with pliers holding the bottom section) then screw in the top (Banana) section as tight as you can get it (Again i pinched them with pliers on the neck of the banana section) this way the cable will only come out if undone. They are a vast improvement over bare wire insertion into binding posts. They also look great, as my speaker cable is the exact diameter of the colour coded bottom section.

Mediocre at best ...
I had high hopes given the positive reviews, but these aren't really suitable for any decent speaker cable. Trying to fit to QED 79 for example, caution is necessary to prevent damage to the strands when assembling the connectors, but in particular I'm not convinced of the integrity of the connection. The fitting relies on the cabling to tighten against the inside of the barrel but the removable part falls slightly too short on overall depth, so I suspect the wiring doesn't become tight within the body of the plug. I would expect some slight compression on the coloured ring to prove the connection is adequate and secure. They will be useful for other projects/uses but you do "get what you pay for" and these are, in my opinion, limited for budget requirements.

Well fitting and very adaptable, including being stackable
Nice solid plugs that fit solidly in the speaker outlets of my hifi amplifier (I bought these because my existing ones were loose). The finish looks good. The hole will take a 6mm diameter cable core and the screw tightens down well. I haven't tried but I suspect that it would be possible to use the screw as a terminal to attach open spade wire terminals. While not clear from the description the screws have hollow cores making these plugs stackable. All in all I'm extremely happy with the plugs

Poor quality
Terrible quality, on first look all seemed ok and reasonable for the money, however, no spring retention in the connectors at all meaning that they are a one time only fit. Remove them from the connection once you have made it and they won’t retain again. Not good.
