.... there is no chicken, which may be common in other powdered broth. It just has chicken fat and this is the 7th ingredient down on the ingredients list. As a result, there is very little to NO protein. If these facts don't concern you, than you will be very happy. Even tastes great as a hot broth drink. Feel free to send me any questions. These Vogue Seasonings are a staple in our kitchen! The best ‘bouillions’ I have found —low salt, no chemicals, and make great sauces. We also use them as a sauce without cream —just make a roux, and instead of adding milk or cream, just use the Vogue Seasoning and water.You probably will not miss the cream, and it will be a lot healthier. We keep all three Vogue Seasoningsin our pantry at all times — the Vege Broth, the Chicken Broth, and the Beef.

Slightly short on taste, but I have to worry about sodium more, so it will do.

My wife and I enjoy using this as seasoning on dinner or popcorn in addition to it being a cost-saving alternative to buying liquid broth or stock. I have sensitivities to high FODMAP foods, and I've found that this doesn't upset my stomach which is rare as most contain a good amount of garlic or onion.

If you can’t have onions or garlic then this for you. Does not have a strong yummy chicken taste like Better than Bullion but does add something to foods. It’s more like herby bullion than chicken bullion.

I am so happy I found this chicken base so I can safely enjoy cooking with chicken base/stock again without cooking it myself. (2 young kids, full time job, no body got time for that!)Flavorful, onion free, garlic free, red pepper free. Let me tell you how hard that is to find.I’m so glad this exists!

I'm a sodium-sensitive broad who loves to cook but hates the discomfort large amounts of sodium incur. And I'm happily shacked up in a cool climate with a soupaholic. As a result, I have low sodium soup bases always on hand. These are easy to use and they taste just fine, thank you. They'll flavor up a soup, a stew, will bolster a gravy or other hot dishes quite easily without worrying about having a headache and stiff fingers the next morning or having your physician yell at you for your blood pressure being out of control. Again. I use the beef, vegetable and chicken flavors regularly, and will be making an onion soup with the onion soup base this weekend. This brand is great as some soup bases clump up and then you have soup-rocks in the jar. Keep the jars sealed properly and they won't clump. And no, you don't have to be super-accurate about measurements - use to taste.

Garlic-free chicken seasoning. I cook for a person with food allergies. It's great to find this garlic-free chicken seasoning. It tastes different than the usual chicken seasonings, stocks and bouillons on the market. It's less salty and lacks the MSG punch. It has a mild turmeric and parsley flavor. It cooks differently as well. it takes a few minutes to dissolve in boiling water. The stock is cloudy and a bit starchy which is fine if you're making a gravy but it's definitely not clear. Also there seems to be tiny bits of dried vegetables that rehydrate or something when you cook it for 10 min or so. Try this if you want an interesting alternative to the usual chicken stocks loaded with salt and MSG.
