Will it work with post anchors?

Hello We do not recommend using the Post Buddy system with Post Anchors. The wood post needs to be set in an underground concrete base for Post Buddy to work correctly. Many thanks The Post Buddy Team

Is it okay to use #8 x 1-5/8" screws to secure the Post Buddy to the 4x4?

Hi We recommend #10 x 2" but there are 8 holes in each Post Buddy stake so #8 x 1-5/8" should be fine.Many thanks
