Hi it says stainless steel but then says nickel plated. I'm using these in a shower and don't want them to rust. Would this rust? thanks

No they are to little for the book case.

How long are the pegs on the L shaped one?

I think the largest one is "maybe" half an inch.

How much weight can four pegs to a shelf hold? (Looking for 50lbs)

I think has all to do with the placement of the pegs. We used them to hold glass shelves that were sliding into a sunken built-in bookshelf. Each glass shelf weighed about 5 lbs and we installed 2 pegs on each side, and 4 pegs along the back. However, for 50 lbs I'm thinking it has all to do with where it's being installed. If you can support the shelf on the sides and back, then it could be possible as long as you use enough. However, for just along the backside, depending on how deep the shelf is, I don't thing these would be a great application. Hope this helps!
